I slide my hand out of Sin's grasp, which causes the the King to stop walking. Luca sees this and chuckles. He forces himself to his feet as he pulls the sword out of his chest. His face is red as it contorts in pain with veins popping out of his pale neck and forehead. Once the sword is out of his chest, it falls to the ground, thick and strong with darkness, but he doesn’t let go of it. By the way he holds it, it looks heavy like Thor’s hammer from the marvel movies. My eyes peer at something different: the blood flowing out of his heart like a water fall.

I started taking deep breaths to calm myself down. "You need to hold it the way you always hold your sword, my dear little warrior. Or the sword will reject you." Alpha Thomas said as he noticed me shaking. I nodded my head and held it with both of my hands. I raised the sword and I felt that. The power, the energy I had heard in all those stories, I felt that. It felt as if a light travelled all the way towards my heart and lightened up my chest. Tears beamed in my eyes as I brought it closer to my face. I kissed the blade and it glowed like a star.

Green blood poured through his lips as he went on both knees,shaking violently because of the pain. He gritted his teeth full of blood. "I..I really thought we..we could be-become one." his eyes sparkled and Nina thought those were tears.

It was well known amongst wolves that one slice of a blade infused with that mixture could poison and kill in seconds. I ran my hand along the poisoned blade slowly, heading down to the hilt. The hilt was studded with several red, heart-shaped jewels that sparkled under any kind of light. It was these jewels that earned it the name of HeartReaper. The sword had belonged to my father, and his father before him. Slowly, I tapped the blade against my thigh, drawing everyone's attention to it. "Who's next?" I asked coldly.

Exactly as seen earlier in the castle. The sword. “What does that one do?” I asked, pointing to it. “It drinks blood. For anyone it kills, their blood is stored in the blade. You would try to always have a clothing between you and the hilt” That did not sound more beneficial than fairy dust. “So how useful would it be to protect me?” With only a smile, “very” Time to close the deal. “I have one silver coin” playing with the coins against my fingers. “Make it three and we have a deal”

I breathed, tears of relief rolling down my cheeks into his face as he swore loudly and I barked a bittersweet laugh, laughing even more as the royal soldiers whooped and chanted around us. “Goddammit Nola, you have mighty strong hands.” Hector groaned, cradling the wound in his chest where the sword had pierced, only missing the fat muscle of his heart by mere inches. A wrinkle of worry knotted my brows as I glanced up at the sky, my heart falling when I noticed the grey mist of his son’s spell still hung heavily over the moon, even appearing to be denser than before. I looked about the lot in alarm, a sudden thought occurring to me until I sighted the monster beast’s still motionless body,

Only fierce determination. “Promise me,” she said quietly, “that no matter what darkness follows, you’ll keep your heart with me. Not just your sword, but your heart.” Kael reached out, his fingers brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. “My heart has never been mine alone.”
