Heat Wave Novels & Stories

Being home was just stirring up feelings, Jace and Julia feelings. I tried to push them away, but I just couldn’t. The snow had melted and it was actually a heatwave, 41 degrees. I decided to get dressed and go, I felt like I would regret not going.

I think she wanted me to experience some small luck of my own, but couldn't say so because i would've ribbed her for being so soft. April's and May's in Lagos always came with an unforgiving heat wave. The type that slips beneath the fabric of your skin and pools around your upper body, strangling at your neck and makes you want to give up the ghost if that will bring you breeze—very much like an itch or a rash you can't claw at. It made Friday afternoons smell like Sundays. On one such day in April, after school-over, Lorita and I braved the crowd jam-packed before the arch of Queen's gate to buy ice-cream from the ice-cream man.

We kissed under the dimly lit streetlight as he leaned against the car, letting me lean onto his body heavily. "Julius," I called out to him, already slurring my words. Upon hearing Julius' response, I murmured his name again. Each murmur earned me a response. He made sure to respond to me every time I said his name. Despite being out in the cold wind, Julius kept playing this dreary game with me, his intoxicated lover. I curled up in his warm embrace, looking as though I were about to doze off any time now. Then, I mumbled softly, "Julius, I'm about to book a hotel room. Do you have the guts to sleep with me?"

With that I ended the call and I rushed out just as a staff is almost being molested by the angry crowds. “What is going on here?” I said on reaching the crowd. “There she is! That witch trying to kill everyone with her badly baked cakes!” Someone screamed,.and the crowd went wild, trying to attack me with their sticks. “Wait! Hold on everyone!” I yell, and they went silent. “What do you mean by badly baked cakes?” I asked.

Heat. It rolled across the fractured asphalt in a sudden wave, thick and searing, like a furnace opening its mouth. The air shimmered, bending light in a warped halo above the street. Aria’s eyes narrowed, heart hammering, every instinct in her body bristling at the wrongness that clung to the warmth. She grabbed Selene’s arm, nails digging in. “Selene — stop. Wait.”

He is covered in sweat, his forehead can form a pool from it. “You’re dramatic. What do you expect from summer? Snow?” Jet frankly responded. “I know that it will be hot but I never thought it would be THIS hot.” Claude replied. Funny how he, the quietest among the team, is the one who fills the car with complaints. It is because Magnus and Saint are asleep. “Global warming and climate change really gives us extreme temperatures,” Jet answers. If it’s not this hell-like heat, it is the drowning rainfalls that take over their country. One after another. Unstoppable.

I could feel my body emitting pheromones. "Isabella?" Harry called out. He reached out to help me up. I didn't even realize that I was back on the floor. His nose flares as the alluring scent of a female on heat hits him. His brown eyes bled into gold as his wolf tried to take over. I WAS IN HEAT. Heat: a burden imposed by the moon goddess on man to punish us. It was just a means to get them to reproduce. It is a period of insatiable sexual urges that can only be cured when you engage in sexual intercourse. It usually lasts between 3 and 5 days.

Waves of hot air were constantly transmitted, and the whole backyard was shrouded in burning hot air. Alice could not resist it at all. At that time, she felt as if she was in a volcanic vent, and her whole body seemed to be burning. Her delicate body trembled, and she fell to the ground, and her longsword also fell off her hand. "So... So hot..." Alice was extremely uncomfortable as a result of the relentless heat wave. She was on the verge of burning and losing consciousness. "It is so hot..." she shouted. Moriri walked quickly and was stunned when she saw the scene in front of her.

/ [I see as much as your cameras do. Suddenly, she felt the slightest tremor. "Tadashi, did you feel that?" "Mm." They stayed on high alert. The tremors happened a few more times with short random intervals in between. /Eh? Is it just me or is the remperature rising?/ [It's rising! Heat waves! The ground is giving off heat waves! Spiders caught in it are cooked and swallowed! Your cameras can't see the distortions in the dark!] "Tadashi, we should go." She piloted away as she warned him, trusting him to follow her immediately, which he did.

I shut my eyes hard thinking that Max is right. “Okay look, you might feel very, very hot and if you feel like you are starting to feel that way or any discomfort, tell me right away.” Amelia chuckled and looks at me like I am being ridiculous. “What are you talking about Sky? I already told you I’m fine, its just the weather that gets me sweating like this.” “No, it’s not because of the weather. I told you, you’re in heat. Do you know what that means?” She paused for a while like she is thinking of something.
