Heat Wave Novels & Stories

"Mrs. Lowe, your husband's car is still in the company parking lot." "Jessica, the amusement park staff is looking around, but they haven't found anything yet." "Jessica, Chloe isn't at the office. I heard she's on a business trip with some guy." I nearly screamed, "Then check her car for me! Sally is still in the car!" Ahead, everything was blindingly bright. The sun was scorching, and the ground looked distorted from the heat.

Arriving home after a....challenging day....I briefly saw James' black loafers were gone and guessed he was probbaly still at the office. Excellent! I wanted nothing more than to drink a large glass of white wine while having a lovely bath. I wanted to just....soak...the sweat and grime of the city off my body. This summer had been non-stop rain followed by a now 2 month long heatwave and the heat has been unbearable-on a good day! The sweating nonstop is a chronic condition for everyone right now...especially if you leave any airconditioned rooms. I felt I was beginning smell rather ...ripe. So a bath was now at the top of my to-do liste!

We then both dive into munching on strawberries and sipping our wine. As time passed, I felt the impact of the scorching heat and suffocating humidity. Drops of sweat trickled down my face and neck, a clear sign of the discomfort I was experiencing. “If only we had remembered to bring our swimsuits,” I say, fanning my face desperate to find relief. The thought of cooling off in the nearby river feels like a missed opportunity in this relentless heatwave. I continue to fan my face with my hand, hoping to ease some of the sweltering heat.

At least now I know he likes my cooking. "Are you in the heat ?"I almost dropped my precious sandwich at his straight forward question . Heat came for female wolves just like periods .Yes I was in heat ,but I could control it .We have heat pills , seasonal heat pills ,literally all sorts of stuff to prevent other male wolves from noticing our heat .As they usually tend to take advantage of a female in heat ,which is obviously against the wolf laws .I took my pills in the morning itself ,guess Adam being my mate could sense it

The deck of Aethelgard felt like the surface of a dying star. The heat from the Sea of Salt was no longer a weather condition; it was an adversary. The massive iron plates of the city's hull were expanding, groaning with a sound like a tortured animal as the molecular structure of the steel fought the relentless thermal assault.

I explain, “more like… an intense, persistent warmth. And this ache that won’t go away. It’s making it hard to focus or sit still.” There’s a pause on the other end of the line, and I can hear Raina’s thoughtful hum. “Cheryl, it sounds like you might be going into heat. Werewolves can experience this, and it’s not uncommon for them to have these symptoms even if they’re not fully aware of their nature.” I blink, the realization hitting me like a freight train. “Heat? I didn’t even know that was a thing for me. I thought that was just for werewolves.”

Three days. It’s been three days since I took the heat serum, and the doctor is coming later to test if it worked. My body aches and burns, a raw, relentless pain that makes me wish I’d never gone through heat at all. It’s horrific—like a train has barreled through me, over and over, leaving nothing unscathed.

Privacy was one of my top qualifications and I made that clear. There’s a swimming pool outside if anyone is brave enough to sit in the heat and boil. No thank you. Even though the air conditioner takes the inside temperature down into the low seventies, it’s too damn hot. The short trips I take outside to get in and out of my vehicle drive me the craziest. The heat is heavy like a wool blanket and leaches the water from my body. Who in their right mind would live in this godforsaken wasteland without someone holding a gun to their head?

After this special red plant exploded, the heat waves generated by the explosion directly stimulated the other special red plants around it! "Bang!" "Bang!" "Bang!" In an instant! Terrifying explosions rang out one after another in the air. It seemed! The world began to tremble, as if it might collapse at any moment! The powerful heat wave was enough to melt rocks and earth, causing the surrounding air to become exceptionally hot. It was as though they were in lava. Meanwhile! Large amounts of dust and fog billowed, covering an area of dozens of kilometers. It was almost impossible to see far away!

And to make it even better, he decides to mix the two as soon as he gets his hands on me. As the water washes over me, I realise how tired I am. The heat season has always been the worst experience of my life, but this year it is even more intense; the pain is worse, and my body temperature is higher than usual. So, even simple things like a meal feel like exercise.
