Maria and The Crag To The Witch's Garden

Maria and The Crag To The Witch's Garden

They were digging at the plot near the picket fence beside the golden nugget squashes. “Yes, just a bunch will you and do the cockscomb,” said the witch to her servant. “Herbie, get the cockscombs!” “Huh? Hee-hee-hee!” Herbie babbled, wondering what had been ordered by the goat-head. “The flowers shaped like a chicken’s comb– we can call it brain flower if we want brains,” said Siegfried. Although shaped like a chicken’s comb, the flowers were also called tornados as their blossoms were like a twisting storm cloud. These were planted everywhere around the garden. Helia had tea roses too at the entrance of her cavern kitchen. Pink, white and red roses blooming and climbing up the bluff.

REJECTED: CLAIMED BY THE ALPHA MAFIA

REJECTED: CLAIMED BY THE ALPHA MAFIA

I take in my surroundings at once to see that I’m in a garden-like cottage with trees and flowers scattered around. A healer must have lived here, I reason, plucking the flower the leaf came from and recognizing it at once. It’s Ghost Dahlia, a rare flower with healing powers. It’s said to be extinct, so what is it doing here? I pluck the dead-like flower, which blossoms into a beautiful yellow flower in my hands. Legend says it only blossoms for the pure-hearted, which warms my heart. “The moon goddess has come to our aid, and you must save me with the flower,” Bailey says, and I feel a pang in my chest. “I do not know how much time I have left, and the potion you took is just temporary,” s

Codename: Blackheart

Codename: Blackheart

“I’ve never even heard of it.” “Of course you have, aconite has many names throughout history, you might know it better as monkshood or wolf’s bane, a flower said in mythology to be the weakness of werewolves, or to have come from the drool of the Cerberus beast in Greek mythology. Though the Greeks also claim Hecate invented it,” she shrugs. “Wait, that’s a real plant?” He says in shock. My mother nods happily, “Much of mythology comes from real life. My favourite name for aconite is queen of poisons,” she smirks. Queen of Poisons should have been her codename. How badass would that be?

This was my favorite book from this author. It was so entertaining from start to finish, and was incredibly well written. I don't normally read this genre, but knew it would be good, as all her work is amazing. It exceeded my expectations. I am hooked and can't wait for the next book in the series!

Forgotten Luna

Forgotten Luna

Raider exhaled, his chest pumping vigorously. “If you believe there are no animals in the wilderness, may I suggest you hit Lake Harmante?” Maybe you can pick up that lovely potion on your way back.” “You mean the Vela Harmento?” I raised my eyebrows, hoping he was talking about another thing. “Yes, the potion came from the Vela Harmento flower. The one thing that can save a dying mage and heal all sorts of magical wounds. I would need you to bring it to me.” Alpha Hector’s voice grew thicker, giving out a sense of superiority.

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

The Pretty Prince and the Beast King

She looked up as they entered, a slow, predatory smile spreading across her face. "You brought the sacrifice," Seraphina said. "I brought a funeral," Kaelor replied. He raised the Lunar Dagger. The purple light from the blade filled the room, making the hybrids hiss and recoil. At the top of the throne, Queen Hecate sat. She wasn't a monster. She was beautiful. A woman with hair like spun silver and skin like moonlight. She looked down at them with a bored, indulgent expression. "Kaelor. My favorite disappointment." Hecate stood up. She wasn't walking; she was gliding. "And the little songbird. I see you've had your hatchling."

Red Rover

“The earth gives us form. And now, to the earth, we return her remains. Citra’s body will join the soil, but her spirit will continue on.” Arden steps forward, handing Hawk a bowl of water. Hawk sprinkles it over Citra. Then he takes a belladonna flower and lays it on her chest. “Hecate, Mother of us all, guide your daughter to the Summerland. May she find peace among our honored ancestors. Let our love carry her across the veil.” He walks to a torch and raises his hand. The flames leap higher. “Fire, we thank you for the passion she brought to life—the spark in her eyes, the energy in her step. May it return to you, to be born anew.”

Mr Alpha, I Want You No More

Mr Alpha, I Want You No More

Alex's lifeless body lay on the mortuary table and he was completely stripped of his clothes as the doctor ran a series of tests on him. "What's going on? What's happening?" I asked the moment I walked inside. "Hayley, you shouldn't be here. You should be with the kids right now. I have everything covered here." Damon said as he approached me, but I wasn't listening one bit. "The children are fine. They're with Lanie and Candice, don't worry about them." I replied before pushing past his barricade. I glanced by the side and saw the ankh flower portion already prepared, and I could immediately tell that the doctor was checking Alex's compatibility with the potion. Ankh flower was a very rare

I breathe, carefully taking them with both hands. His smile is soft, proud. “I hoped you’d like them. I grow them in the greenhouses the witches maintain. They're called hellebores. That one’s Fire and Ice, and the other’s Onyx Odyssey. I figured you’d want something different—something no other guy’s ever given you.” I grab a vase from the cabinet, fill it with water, and place the flowers inside. Then I turn, walk up to him, cup his face in both hands—and kiss the hell out of him.

Bleeding Flower

After a brief silence, detective Jones broke the silence and asked "what do you think maria?“ “About what?” “This, of course!” detective Jones said increasing his tone. “Calm down partner. Anyways, I think we're dealing with a nasty serial killer that has an obsession with flowers” Maria joked. “It's not just that. But wait, I think am beginning to get the pieces, according to the woman, a white rose represents chastity and purity, now a blood stain on it would mean what? The chastity or purity have been stained and how is that possible?”

The Golden Apple He Stole From Me

The Golden Apple He Stole From Me

The sunset at the Mortal Coast was beautiful. Selene held a bouquet of sea-nymph flowers and a bottle of divine wine. She walked quietly to a simple monument. Carved into the stone was her name, and above it, her sigil: a single, blooming Helianthus, forever turning its face to the light. "Kressa, I'm here again." Selene said softly. She placed the flowers down. She did this every month. She had kept it up for four years.
