"Who?" She raises one eyebrow, then sighs deeply, plucking a tart gracefully from the plate beside her in a manner that suggests she would not have done so had I not frustrated her. "Hecate. Goddess of Witchcraft, Magic and more." She explains finally with a slight huff as she takes a delicate bite of the tart. "I've never heard of her." I say after a moment, my voice laced with skepticism. "You." Hera sighs after she swallows her bite of tart. "You are Hecate."

Hecate looked between Leto and the glowing green orb before she finished descending the steps to be on the same level as her. "If you are sure about this." Hecate rested her hands over the orb. A black light shined between her fingers and was absorbed into the orb. "Then let me bestow a gift. Protection to be carried through her bloodline." Hecate spoke. "Strength to push on through her darkest hours." Selene's voice wove through Hecate's words. Runic text floated up from the black glow and spiraled in and out of the green orb. "Love." Artemis's voice joined theirs. "When all else fails, love will always conquer." Leto smiled when she heard her daughter's words.

On the highest peak of every column were statues of a wolf's head, as if howling at the moon. The ceiling was covered with an artistic mural depicting various images that looked like they came to life, There was a woman wearing black, her skin pale, yet she had three faces, one old, one young, and one neither youthful nor elderly but in between. I had a feeling the mural above depicted the beginning of shifter kind. My father always referred to the moon Goddess, or Hecate, as the mother of shifters.

I step further. Next to Diana is another figure. Taller. Darker. Wrapped in shadows and swirling smoke. Her eyes are blindfolded with silk, yet I feel them watching me. Her skin gleams obsidian, marked with ancient runes. In one hand, she holds a torch that burns with violet fire. In the other, a serpent. Hecate. Goddess of the crossroads. Magic. Witches. Keeper of all things hidden and forbidden. I move forward slowly, silver flames rippling around my paws, burning brighter with each step.

I looked through the other books and came accross a book I didn't notice last time the title read: The undoing of a witch. I flipped the pages and started reading. There is only one bloodline amongst the witches where the mother must die before her children turns sixteen in order to carry down the magic in that bloodline: The Etaceh bloodline. This bloodline is cursed with the Hecate curse and only if the curse is broken will the magic be able to be carry down without the witch who carried the magic's death. When the witch who carries the power does not die before the sixteenth birthday of her children the magic will be lost forever. Unless the witch who carries the magic can awoken as one.

It would’ve been rare if I didn’t find something I liked. This time, it was a thick spiral A5 notebook. The hard cover was an abstract motif in blues, with a discreet white crescent in the upper right corner and a little white star by it. The pages had the lines in navy blue, and the crescent and the star outlined in light blue in every upper right corner. It was love at first sight. It was calling my name like a siren, and I refused to ignore it.

I felt a new wave of power course through my body and I could feel all the vibrations of the sextuplet Alphas. “This is our birthday gift to you, Zara,” Aunt Aira said while smiling. “This wheel contains our spirit energies combined together to heal you instantly if you are ever attacked with Wolfsbane. The 18 spokes represent the number of times you can survive a Wolfsbane attack,” she added. “Plus 18 represents this virgin sucker’s waiting period too,” Dy laughed and Jax flicked his forehead making Dy glare at his brother and soon enough the two were fighting again with each other clubbed with embarrassing name calling.

Rubbing her eyes with the heels of her hands, she finally opened them. It was light now, and the first thing she saw was the light fitting hanging from the ceiling. She blinked, why had she never noticed that before? It was different, that wasn't the same light fitting she saw when Eric showed her to her room, that was a pretty little chandelier, this one was brass coloured, a large ring with two other rings wrapped around it with little LED lights embedded into the metal.

He smirks, “Hecate.” She turns to Ash and Kai on the sofa and holds out her hand, “Pleased to meet you properly, I’m Hecate. Goddess of the underworlds, and the crossroads that lead the way to all afterlives. And a few other things, I have a side gig as the Witches’ Goddess too.” Kai and Ash shake her hand and bow their heads, it felt appropriate. She smiles at them. “Yes, I like you. I’m glad Sol vouched for her to be your Mates.” Kai blinks and looks at Sol. He’s rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Kai stands and bows deeply,

Her father’s body seemed to sag with relief. “After the soul transfer. I will stay for a while. Let you say really say goodbye to her.” I don’t think they know what to say to that. But they will when the time comes. “No one is to know about this. It has never happened in the past.” I told them both. Just before Hecate appeared. Her appearance can be alarming if you’re not used to seeing her. Hecate has dark hair and dark eyes. For supernatural occasions, which this is, Hecate wears dark clothes and a spiked headpiece. She looks like an evil witch.
