The Heir

The Heir

He was a ghost, haunting the edges of a world that had moved on without him. "He'll never stop hunting us," Vivian said one evening, sitting by the fire in the new house. Her sister, Elena—the other Elena—lived with her now, healing from years of captivity. "Men like him don't know how." "Then we'll be ready," Riley said. "We'll always be ready. That's what an heir does—protects what was given." --- The second anniversary of Tata Pedro's death fell on a rainy Tuesday. Riley woke before dawn, kissed Kyle's sleeping shoulder, and walked to the orchard alone. The rain was soft, warm, the kind of rain that made things grow.

Heirs

Heirs

I say, seeing which papers that idiot was looking at. "I'm not a peeper". Speaks sitting in the chair facing my desk. "I just don't understand why you feel so much hatred for him". "Don't you understand?" I ask louder, not believing what I had just heard. "You are the daughter and heiress of businessmen, fairy tales don't exist for any of us". She answers seriously. "You should be happy because he's young, he's hot, and you have an overwhelming chemistry. I'm still recovering from what I saw". She says, shaking herself with a smile.

Apart from killing Philip, he also wanted to take this opportunity to kill Conlay Nox, the banished prince.

such an awesome story, very well written. this latest twist of him going back to ancestral land, genius, but I don't like that Phillip lost all his skills and boons! including verge tower!!! I'm hoping this is all just a twist, he'll gain it all back. oh, I do wish you could load more than 1 daily

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

“There are eyewitnesses, Martin! You cannot ignore that. The only one ever to be known as a Wielder who can wield the element is Hail. How will you explain that fire.” Mr. Heirt smirked. “You are very much interested into blaming all this affair to the Skippers, huh!” “This—I’m not—” “Can both of you shut up for a minute? We need to discuss this calmly. Keep your competitive ass to yourself. You’re disgracing us from these children.” The Skippers were merely looking at them, torn between staying or walking away. Breathing heavily, Mr. Proche put her hands at her back. “Fine! Where do you suggest we start?”

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

The Heir Wasn't Mine

The Heir Wasn't Mine

The notary's finger hovered above the keyboard for a moment. "Mrs. Fuzio." He adjusted his glasses, not daring to look straight at me. "The heir next in line needs to be present to confirm his intentions." I was confused. Christian Fuzio was an only child. His parents passed away ten years ago. We were married for 20 years with no children. "What did you say?" Before the notary could reply, the doors opened. When the boy walked in, I didn't even react. That was, until I saw his face.

Next slide. Unified Heir Training Program “At age fourteen…” I continued, “…all heirs will spend their summers at the Asher estate.” Murmurs again. “They will learn the business.” “Understand operations.” “Build relationships across branches.” I paused. “No heir will grow up isolated.” That line hit. Hard. “No heir will grow up unaware.” Another. “And no heir will grow up unprepared.” Silence. Because they understood. What I was really saying. No more weak heirs.

"You thought I'd let them near her?" "I thought you'd have no choice." Her voice cracked. "You were the heir, Alec. Your father controlled everything. The Council would have taken one look at a half-blood bastard and—" "Don't." The word was sharp. "Don't call her that." "That's what they would have called her." Maya's hands were shaking now. "Right before they decided whether to take her from me or kill her outright." The truth of it hung in the air between them, ugly and undeniable.

My stomach clenched, “How bad was the dip?” “Fifteen percent two hours ago. It’s dipping fast; the investors are worried, Ari.” He answered solemnly. I shook my head, “Why is it dipping so fast? He is still alive.” “Yes, but he is incapacitated. The board needs stability.” Victor met my eyes, “You have to step in as the heir.” I laughed weakly, “I’m barely holding myself together.” Victor sighed, “Aria, you are a Valen, Sebastian’s

The Heir's Child

Dad opens his mouth. "No." I cut him off immediately. "I'm finding her." "I don't care if it takes days." "I don't care if it takes months." "I'm finding her." "I'll need help." "Our friends know Rowan almost as well as I do." "If I've overlooked something..." "They won't." Dad's eyes harden. "Then I'll Alpha Order every one of them to keep silent." I stare at him. "You are not ordering my friends." "They'll obey."

I shifted my thoughts to that angle, the brightest thing to focus on. "Make your wrongs right then the Goddess shall bless you with one when the time is right." "But Shirley's pregnant, I'm having a son." Haedon regarded me before he moved to the candle by the corner of the temple, poured in some combustible powder, and watched it burn in bright flames. When the flames died off, he returned to his seat. "Focus on saving your territories from the looming terror. When the time is right your heir shall sit on your throne. But of what use is an heir without a throne?" His washed-out eyes speared mine.
