The blonde struggled to find the correct term. “Like a haunted house?” Jai offered a comparison. The blonde clicked his fingers at him. “Yes! Like a haunted house. But there’s not only one or two but many, so you can call it ‘an extremely haunted house’.” Jai grimaced. “Might as well call it the residents of hell. But just wait a minute.” Jai sat up and turned to the blonde. “Just HOW did you manage to salvage their voices among the SO many people in there? Is that why you were being super quiet this afternoon in the parlor?”

Torches have been lighting up the hallways from the walls, it was dark but the light from the torch was enough to see through. She gently closed the door from behind her, no sound was made but her heavy breathing. She started to walk and examine the hallways, she wiggled her toes as they touch the soft fabric, she lets out a deep sigh as she enjoyed the warm and comfy feeling of the carpet, the wallpapers were grayish and printed with skulls and rats. None of all these decorations screamed Royalty. More like a haunted house.

Sandra listened intently, as Gabriel explained how he escaped from the house. "Do you know where this house is Matt?" Sandra asked. "Yes, it's Miss Fisher's house, she's in a care home now, and the house is empty, It's been empty for a while, we, all my friends and me, we went there on Halloween Scared the sh... Life out of us." Sandra coughed, trying not to laugh, "Best not to do that again Matt, it is trespassing." "How long have I been missing?" Gabriel asked, "Weeks, months?"

I flipped through the channels until I got to a few special ones. “What is this?” Jillie asked, laying her head on my shoulder. “Haunted House.” “What?” “It’s on the Mystical network; I guess you could say. Schools, TV shows, colleges, and stores. You name it. We have it.”

My heart pounds, and I press my palm to my chest. I turn on every light in the apartment and check the windows. Even in Willow’s room. Everything is locked. He must’ve come in behind me… I shiver and go back to my room. I should call Willow. Tell her to be on guard in case she comes home drunk and unaware. Our safe neighborhood is deteriorating. Back in my room, I hit the switch for the overhead light and scour my space. It feels colder, but maybe that’s just my imagination. I check my window, and it’s cracked.

I steeled myself and opened the door. The hallway was awash in red. Smears and spatters of bright and dark blood covered the walls, the floor, and my door. My head reeled. What the hell happened? Why was there so much blood outside my door? Hadn't the guy in 603 seen it through his peephole? I couldn't help looking toward apartment 603. To my surprise, the door stood half-open, and it was dead quiet inside. I picked my way past the bloodstains and made my way to apartment 603.
