It might be stupid, but I’m desperate. “Well, little Nevaeh, we know this because your boyfriend has made someone very angry, and we’re here to make sure he suffers,” Henry replies gruffly as he takes a couple of steps closer. I follow his movements as he continues to circle me. It’s only when their eyes begin to glow red and their hands become claws that I realize what kind of trouble I’m in.

This is not a gun or a knife that I know how to handle, this concerns my health and it's scary. "You are pregnant Nicole, and the pregnancy could be a danger to you" He slowly starts as he gauges my reaction. I'm sure my face shows exactly how lost I'm feeling right now. I'm pregnant? Fuck! "Selene, you are endangering our....." Her voice choked in her throat as we both caught sight of the bodyguards who were guarding the emergency path. We were scared that they would sense our movement and get hold of us, but what we saw was shocking.

Matthew said. "Got it, boss," River replied before disappearing in the opposite direction. Henry trailed behind her, his heart racing. They were both scared of being spotted by anyone. One mistake and they both would be dead meat. Unfortunately, neither of them was experienced in handling guns, and Henry was a complete beginner. His brother had just started teaching him how to use guns when they were kidnapped by Matthew's men. As they entered the room, River felt a chill run down her spine. This was the place where all of their enemies' secrets were kept.

He'd always known his Grandpa had heart problems and he'd gotten a transplant but right now, he didn't even know what's happening. His palm hovered over the scar, not knowing what to do until he heard the sounds of footsteps followed by his step mother's panicked voice. “What's happening?” She asked. “Let's check everywhere. I think we have an intruder.” It was his father's voice. Dimitri rose to his feet. “Here.” He said. They rushed towards him, the others behind them and when their gaze landed on the old man, his step mother screeched. “Father!”

His voice was low and serious as he began to speak, his words filled with a mixture of concern and warning. "Camilla, I need you to understand the gravity of the situation we find ourselves in," Lucas said, his voice steady but filled with urgency. "These workers, this warehouse... it's all part of a dangerous operation involving drugs. If you ever lied to me, if you ever got involved in any way, the consequences could be dire." Camilla's heart pounded in her chest as she listened to Lucas's words. She had never imagined being caught up in something so dangerous. The realization hit her like a cold wave, making her feel small and trapped.

I got done before the time I was supposed to leave the house to avoid traffic on the way. I took my things as I walked out of my apartment. I was certain Ken would be outside waiting for me and I was right. I was close to Ken’s car when a hand pulled me. It reminded me of Daniel and that sent shivers down my spine. I turned to see who it was and it was Henry. His eyes and face were red like he was poured hot water and he looked dangerous. “What do you want from me, Henry?” I asked forcefully, freeing myself from his tight grip.

“T-The drug wasn’t mine! I-I was just following—” “Who planned this?” Alex’s voice lowered further, turning cold and deadly. Henry’s lips trembled violently. He felt genuine terror and fear for the first time in his life. Because the man standing before him no longer looked rational. He looked dangerous. Perhaps monstrous. “I-I don’t know everything!” Henry stammered desperately. “I swear—” Suddenly, Derek’s phone vibrated sharply in the tense silence. He immediately answered. But after only hearing a few words, his expression changed instantly and he turned to look at Alex.

"I apologize for any misunderstandings, Yennifer. My actions were driven by a desire to protect you. To keep you safe from those who would seek to harm you." Yennifer hesitated, her heart pounding in her chest. "But why? Why did you go to such lengths?" Henry's gaze softened, and he gestured for Yennifer to take a seat beside him. "There are secrets and dangers that surround you, Yennifer. Ones that you may not yet fully comprehend. My intentions were never to control or manipulate you, but rather to shield you from the forces that threaten your well-being." Yennifer listened, her skepticism gradually giving way to a glimmer of understanding. "What secrets? What dangers?"

"He didn’t say which one. He just, he's going to set it on fire." Henry immediately threw the car into drive, tires screeching against the pavement as we sped away from the building. I could hear him calling the Chief through his car’s system, his voice calm but lethal, relaying the information. I pressed my forehead to the window, my heart pounding against my ribs so hard it hurt. The city blurred past shops, houses, lives none of them knowing that somewhere out there, a monster was about to strike. I didn’t even want to be mad at Henry for everything he put me through today.
