Charles whined as he stepped closer to me reaching for my hand when a voice sounded behind me. "By me." The voice said and I recognized it before the person came to stand beside me. I looked up at Henry and a tiny gasp escaped my lips. Henry looked so different from school today as he had on a pair of black pants and a sleeveless black turtleneck that revealed his snake and roses tattoos on his left shoulder. There was a chain hanging around his neck and his hair fell around his eyes, blue eyes that glared at Charles. "Henry?" Charles asked, eyes darting to me and Henry who smirked.

He then gently bent down and started talking to Henry softly. “Hey, buddy.” He said softly and waited for a second or two as Henry seemed to realize who was normally there in the dark wasn't the same person who was there right now. He opened his little eyes and saw the man who had been nice to him. “There we go. You want up?”

I fly as fast as possible knowing they can't keep up, but I must get to Pepper. Through the clouds, I finally catch sight of my castle in the distance. My uncle's dark magic alerts me that he's in the tower with my mate and child. "No, no, no," I rage Then, I see him fly over the edge with the bright light of the egg shining from within his talons. Something burns on his back. It takes a moment to identify Henry. Most of his body is blackened, but he hasn't let go. I put on an even greater burst of speed and Henry's gaze meets mine. I read the sorrow in his eyes before he releases his hold. "Catch the egg," I yell into Bastian's mind as I slam into Drakon.

“It’ll be over soon.” The next ten minutes passed in silence. Only the buzzing of the tattoo machine filled the air, like a saw cutting through both his heart and mine. Finally, it was done. Henry applied the healing film with hands so impossibly gentle, it clashed sharply with the icy expression he wore. He removed his gloves and tossed them into the trash without looking at me, then slid a business card across the table. “Save my number.” The command carried a strength that allowed no refusal. I blankly took out my phone.

Henry. Dr.Heney didn't say a word at first, he calmly went to the mini table where he had dropped his leather briefcase; the metal hinges made a lousy sound in the quiet room. He began laying out his instruments: a blood pressure cuff, a reflex hammer, and a series of small, sterile needles. Tardrain gulped seeing all of that. They were literally his worst nightmare. Just the sight of them made his skin crawl. “That was quite a performance, Tardrain.” Dr.Henry said softly, his back still turned. “She seems like she cares.”

“I know, but it’s just something small. I just need to check one thing, I promise. Please, Dad?” Caleb looked at him for a moment, then sighed softly, smile tugging at his lips. “Okay, okay… you can have it.” Henry’s face lit up instantly. He bounced happily onto the bed and threw his arms around Caleb, hugging him tightly. Caleb glanced at Asher with an amused smile as Henry pressed quick pecks to his cheek and lips. “Hey, boy!” Caleb exclaimed, feigning indignation. “Does not belong to you.” Henry’s gaze moved to Caleb, then shifted to Asher, who was trying to hide a laugh behind his palm, before returning to Caleb. “Dad told me whatever belongs to him… belongs to me,” Henry said seriously

Moments later, a middle-aged doctor stepped in, adjusting his glasses as he approached. “What seems to be the problem?” he asked calmly. Just then, the doctor’s gaze landed on Calvin. His expression immediately shifted in surprise. “Oh, Mr. Calvin,” he said quickly, stepping forward. “Why did you bother coming all the way here? You could have simply called for us.” “I didn’t want to bother anyone,” Calvin replied calmly. Henry immediately shook his head, a bright smile spreading across his face. “Sir, you’re absolutely not bothering me,” he said earnestly. “In fact, it’s a privilege.” His smile widened with clear admiration. “After all, I’m one of INK’s doctors.”

It clawed at my ribs, demanding to be unleashed, demanding that I hunt him down and end him before he tried again. “Michael?” The small, careful voice snapped me out of the spiral. I blinked and turned to Henry. He was staring up at me with those big brown eyes, so much like Fernando’s, though untainted, still gentle, still curious. He tilted his head, his pencil hovering uncertainly above the page. “What is it, champ?” I forced my lips into something that might pass as a smile. “You’re… holding your pencil too tight,” he said. I glanced down and realized he was right. The pencil in my hand was bent nearly to breaking, my knuckles white from the pressure.

Dylan arched a brow “Right…I didn’t” Henry admitted as he struggled to get off the floor “Dude you can’t even get off your own back” Dylan stated the obvious “Well that’s because ….” Henry paused when he noticed Maddy beside him; Maddy gave him a quick wave which he returned with a polite nod. “Don’t worry she’s just like you” Dylan walked away from their middle to sit on the chair by his computer desk “Hey, I’m Maddy” Maddy stretched out her hand towards Henry for a handshake which he took and she flashed him her blue chimera eyes. Henry let out a little “Oh”, he noticed the number on her neck before nodding positively and let go of the handshake.

Several times Henry said he had a bad dream. Dreaming of a terrible entity. He had a muscular body without skin with blood dripping down his body like sweat. His eyes were fiery red and the horns on his head. Also very pointy fingernails.
