DIVORCED BY THE BILLIONAIRE, DESIRED BY HIS RIVAL

CHAPTER 120 — Phase Two Has a Name By morning, the city had already decided what last night meant. Headlines spoke in careful language attempted assault foiled, unknown suspects detained, Williams heiress unharmed. The truth, as always, lived in the spaces between words. Melissa read none of it. She stood barefoot in her kitchen, sunlight cutting across the counter, coffee cooling untouched. Evelyn Crowe watched her from the doorway. “You should cancel today,” Evelyn said. “Let the board reschedule.”

Right There Waiting

Right There Waiting

I couldn't focus on work at all when I returned to my cubicle, and I found myself peeking at Neil's office repeatedly. He said that he'd be meeting his 'babe' today, and I would most definitely like to meet her. If the truth was as I'd imagined, our relationship would have run its course. An hour later, a lady with a beautiful face and an exquisite fashion taste strutted into Neil's office. I headed over, standing outside while pretending to fetch a drink from the pantry. The door was ajar, and I could hear laughter from within. "I missed you so much, dear. And you look gorgeous in that sweater—black really suits you a lot."

I will meet with Ada in person when she comes to the country at the beginning of next month and finalize this matter, Let the Anderson Group abandon all hope!” Those who touch her interests must pay the price! On the way to the court, they passed the city hall, where couples were lining up to get married. They were either hugging each other or taking sweet selfies, the atmosphere was filled with happiness, as if the clouds in the sky were heart-shaped. At this moment, a Rolls-Royce stopped in front of the court next door, attracting the envious eyes of all the lovebirds. Kira was sitting in the back row, glancing at her watch. It was exact

The Billionaire’s Contract Wife Can't Let Go

The Billionaire’s Contract Wife Can't Let Go

He points a gloved finger at a looming, weather-worn gray building opposite the park. "The last I saw of her, she was walking straight into that building. Third floor, apartment D343. The city has been snowed in for the past three days, so I imagine she's safely inside right now." My heart misfires. Two grueling years of endless searching are about to end right across this road. Randall looks at me. "She’s changed a little bit, you know. Just like you have."

My Groom Fled Again, so I Chose Another

My Groom Fled Again, so I Chose Another

They were never coming at all. So this time, watching Derek hold Lessie close as they walked away, I didn't even shed a tear. The clerk shot me an awkward look, and her voice was full of pity as she asked, "Are you still going to wait, child?" I supposed the last time I had waited at the city hall from dawn until midnight left quite a deep impression on the staff members. I shook my head. "No, I'm not waiting for him anymore." Then, I texted a different number. "Where are you?"

" I said.We looked at each other. "She's not waiting six days." I said. "She's been waiting eighteen months. Edgar is in her city looking for her and her inner circle has been approached and her evidence is in our hands." I paused. "She's going to move the window forward.""How forward." He said."Tonight." I said. "Tomorrow at the latest." *Edgar's Pov*

Taming the Mafia King

Taming the Mafia King

“Invitation, please.” I took out the little golden envelope from my purse and handed it to him. “Regina Milanesi.” I told him. “Yes…of course.” His composure held a slight hint of imbalance as he looked me up and down once again, before pointing towards the entrance. “Ma’am…” I gave the kid a lopsided smile, watching his composure slide even more, before I walked past him and into the open gates of the City Hall. This time, the commotion that followed was off the charts. Heads turned, eyes widened and whispers spread like wildfire.

He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

"Twenty minutes from when I called you. Maybe less." "Then I have eight." "Seven, if traffic moves." "Keep the line open." I put the phone in my jacket pocket and watched the city blur past the window and thought about a woman in a grey pullover reading trust documents at a kitchen table, absolutely composed, with no idea that the building she was hiding in had already been given to the wrong people. Dario pulled up to the kerb at eleven forty-three. "Wait here," I said. "Engine running." "How long?"

While I like it so far, it's difficult not to notice that AI is being used for a great deal of the story. It's painfully obvious because "person does thing with the quality of a blah blah blah that's decided something and rearranged themselves around it" That sentence structure is used ad nauseum

This is how you tell a story! I do pray it stays this way as I failed to look and see it was ongoing as I usually don’t read ongoing books because updates are not substantial but baby…!!!! This book thus far is a great read and can’t wait until it’s completed.

Abandoned Luna: Now Untouchable

Abandoned Luna: Now Untouchable

Dated a month ago—back when he'd just returned from Switzerland. Harper saw the recognition in his eyes. He was remembering. Cecilia had brought him those papers herself—smiling calmly, talking about work. She hadn't flinched. Not once. "The waiting period is over," Harper said. "Once Cecilia returns, you'll both go to city hall. It'll be done." Xavier said nothing.

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

Princess Cromwell and Her Six Brothers

At the same time... In the city office hall, countless people were waiting. This wasn’t just any secretary, and especially since his surname was Rodriguez! Anyone who understood the ropes would know exactly what that meant! People from various departments had gathered, all waiting for the new leader to arrive and hold a meeting. On this day, even the streets were exceptionally clean. People waited and waited, straining their necks in anticipation, but no car appeared. Vice Mayor Jones, however, showed no signs of impatience. He had already changed the tea in his thermos several times.
