I murmured, guiding her further into the relative safety of the kitchens.
Alpha Marcus finally found his voice, clearing his throat awkwardly. "Seraphina... Your... your abilities..."
I paused at the threshold, looking back over my shoulder. Not at Marcus, but letting my gaze sweep coolly over Damon one last time. He looked like he’d been struck by lightning. Good.
"My abilities seem to have revealed themselves, Alpha," I stated calmly, meeting Marcus's stunned look. Then, pointedly, I added, "Perhaps now Silver Crescent’s weaknesses," I echoed Damon's earlier barb, letting the word hang in the air, "won't be such a concern."
