I lied. Brandon thinned his lips. “Baby, I know you aren’t in an actual relationship. Your sister already told me that you are acting as a surrogate now. She told me everything.” “What?” I blurted. “Which one of my sisters?” I can already tell it is Ciara. She must have done that feeling on top of the world. I have no idea what it is that I did to that girl to hate me this much. I feel almost repulsed that we are siblings.

I latched on to my sister almost as fiercely as she held on to me, meeting her gaze and begging her with the tears glistening in mine. "Then help me. He had not looked at me before but now I knew that he could and I would put in all the effort needed to to replace her in every capacity. My sister seemed contemplative. I shook my head from left to right at her outright accusation. “You're my sister and she's my niece, scratch that, she's my daughter, you're just the surrogate”. My laughter bubbled from deep within me, I immediately covered my mouth to stop me from laughing so much. “I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you said I'm the surrogate?”. My laughter resumes again.

“I am not carrying his child.” Bryan leaned forward in his seat. The confusion etched across his face couldn’t be mistaken. “Then, whose?” He asked, still looking confused. “It is his.” She answered. Lines formed on his forehead. “Make it clear to me.” Exasperated, Penelope held a hand on her forehead, “I am his surrogate.” Silence drawled on for what felt like eternity. His gaze shifted from Penelope to Killian then back to Penelope. “What the fuck did you just say?” His sharp tone pierced the pregnant air. “My sister is your incubator? You couldn’t get another woman to carry your godforsaken child?” He roared, leaping out of the chair with heavy breaths.

I didn't want to listen to their conversation but I was told to be standing at the door in an hour so I stood there and waited for their argument to end "She loved you if you wanted a surrogate then I would have happily carried my own sister's child...why would you bring in a total stranger...I can't believe this Victor" the lady said again and this time she mentioned her sister and surrogate. What was I missing? It seemed Victor's wife was dead. Was it why he needed a surrogate? I thought his wife was alive but it turned out she was no more. I felt terrible and connected the dots, was it why he was drinking so much the other night

She wiped an angry tear off her cheek, “he loved her so much, when she put the bug in his ear for me to have his kid, he was all in.” She had stunned him into silence. “I didn’t have an affair with your brother, Royal. I was a surrogate. They used me and my womb as a host and the moment the doctor put the baby in their arms, they walked away and forgot I existed. Your sister-in-law did what it took to get your family off her back and your brother was so hellbent on getting what he wanted, he would have done it through any means possible. I was the means.”

“Why did you push her?” “What?” I stared at her, completely caught off guard by the sudden accusation. “What do you mean? I didn’t push her—” “What’s going on?” Alpha Bastian’s voice cut through the confusion, causing me to turn. When he saw my sister on the ground, he rushed to her side, brushing past me like I was invisible. “Rosalia, what happened?” “The surrogate pushed her,” Melissa said, and I felt my stomach drop. The Alpha didn’t hesitate. He scooped up my sister in his arms, carrying her bridal style. I waited for Rosalia to say something, to deny what her maid said, but she just looked at me. Then she wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest.

I smiled and hug him "It's okay since that how you want it" we while away some time while sipping our coffee when I overheard the ladies on the next table discussing which I listen to them "Have you heard that Charlie's wife is looking for a surrogate?"the lady by the right asked her friend "Are you serious?"the other lady asked surprised "Yes, and the interested part is that she's willing to pay any amount of money if you're ready to become her surrogate" she replies "That's serious. I think I will go maybe I will be lucky" the other lady says

"So... Liora, Evie, or Zayden. Each one meaningful, modern... and ours." Zaire rested his hand lightly over mine, sealing the choice. "Exactly. Every time we say it, it'll carry love, family, and a little piece of us. Whoever it is, they're lucky already." A soft laugh escaped me, a rush of pure happiness filling my chest. "I can already picture it... our little one... Liora, Evie, or Zayden... loved, special, and surrounded by so much care." I leaned fully against Zaire, my bump pressing lightly against his side as the final detail crossed my mind.
