I'm really stepping on their last nerves. "That's been my prayer every day—that the Lord never sends me back to this depressing shithole." My voice cracks. I hate that. I hate being this weak. What am I thinking standing up to them? That's the real problem—I'm not thinking. I fix my headphones over my ears and play "Tell your heart to beat again" by Danny Gokey. I dash through the front door, spreading my hands like wings, like maybe I'll take off if I run fast enough.

Once again. "No....no....no...no, what have I done?"

I screwed up. I have to make this right.

Medically, my heart's beating fine, but emotionally, it's probably dying. Unsure of what the day would bring, I stood up from my bed. This time, I won't let fate decide for me. I have seen my future and there's no way I would go through that again. I was brought back for a reason, and I won't waste my time the second time around. I took a long bath and put on my favorite black shirt and black shorts. After wearing my sneakers, I grabbed my pink sweater in the closet and ran downstairs. "Did someone die?" Sienna asked as she eyed me from head to foot.

The jotter had a pen attached to it, in which she intended to use in quoting down Joe's statement. She also placed her phone on recording mode to get a voice note. “Argh ugh” Joe cleared his throat and looked around the room for perhaps what he could call a clue to the answer to the question. “You may begin talking” Genevieve gave him a go ahead. “I don't really remember much about myself. All I can tell you is that I am eighteen years old. “That is the only thing you could recall?” Genevieve repeated. “This will be quite a bit hard” Genevieve confessed.
