The sketch was a remarkably accurate rendering of the estate stables, surrounded by thick, structural lines that she had carefully colored in our signature sapphire-blue color. I knelt beside her mattress, my large, scarred hand resting gently on the wooden edge of her bedframe.

All realms are created by a god, the humans from your realm managed to get at least that correct.”

The corporate situation had kept them busy all day. But the moment they stepped inside, the tension melted away. Justin has a pencil drawing of Olima's pretty face before, and all his drawings of her were all pretty. He wished he could bring her into his bedroom and show her all the silly images of her that he had drawn out before he brought her to live in their guest house. It was filled with colorful doodles, but the page she flipped to was heartbreakingly clear: a family of four, standing hand-in-hand in front of a giant hospital with “Fleming House of Hope” scrawled across it in clumsy print.
