Hiding Novel Novels & Stories

The garden thrived in a state of cheerful, low-stakes chaos. Our hide-and-seek league had expanded. The Jeff-resonance was an active participant, hiding the stone in places that defied conventional physics—once inside the sound of the stream’s burble, another time in the exact moment between the twin moons’ light overlapping. Vanilla, overcoming his archival instincts, had gotten shockingly good, using his knowledge of forgotten lore to hide things in “historically negligible” spots. It was during a particularly heated match (Lina had hidden the stone in the concept of “yesterday,” and we were arguing about the legality of temporal hiding) that the sky tore open.

One of the bookshelves was sawed out, turning it into something of a secret compartment. Where is the best place to hide a book? A library, of course. But it was more than just a book—a thin booklet barely finger-wide and with a red binding, a color that she found creepily similar to dried blood. Fine. She didn’t actually think it was dried blood. Back then, she was only interested in the book’s contents—gates and portals to other worlds, other lives, other countries... If she had no other way to travel, that was how she would do it. Books also helped to forget things...and herself.

They should not find a trace of the homemade meal except for the refrigerator having fewer ingredients, and she hoped they would not realize immediately. Hazel looked at her bedroom with some uneasiness and then looked at the door; it was not a good place to hide the shoes, there was still a risk of being discovered. Hazel grabbed the shoes and snuck to her bedroom, as soon as she opened the door, she saw Joshua sitting on her bed, holding a book in his hands and reading. He looked simply elegant. "You are back?" He chuckled. "Don't mention it." Hazel hid his shoes and said with some shame, "I almost couldn't cover it! Joshua, what now?"

Hailey knew that Anna wasn’t going to let go of what she had done easily. Hailey was a vampire and she hid it from Anna because Anna wasn’t one of them. Hailey was convinced Anna was human until the signs started to manifest. Hailey wasn’t in support of this life and she didn’t want her best friends in harm’s way. Right from the very beginning, Anna thought vampires and werewolves were a result of someone’s imagination and she wanted it to be that way.

Cecile stammered. But Grandmother turned away, unwilling to hear more. Cecile clenched her fists. Why is everyone hiding the truth about Rose’s father? What secret are they keeping? In the hotel hallway, Diana collided with Sam. “You?” she spat. “What are you doing here?” Sam smirked. “How’s the family? How’s that expensive shawl of yours? Hope it is still good?” She ignored him. “I came here to use the restroom,” Sam added cheekily. “These air-conditioned hotels, ah, the luxury! No wonder you like hanging around here too.”

We will get our favorite novel, and I will read it to her while she rests on my body. It's fun when you actually have something in common with your partner. Maddie is a novel freak, same as me. So this particular evening, we hid as usual after the security countdown that the library was closed. We hid, and then the door shut down. Maddie grabbed her favorite novel and allowed me to read it for her, but then 10 minutes passed, and the blinding torch of the security. They must have heard our voice. Time up, I grabbed her hands as we hid under shelves but already too late, we have been noticed.

Most of the time now, like tonight, I just waited on the bed entirely naked, lounging in my sexiest pose, waiting for him to walk through the door. I heard his footsteps up the hallway outside the door, and pretended to be reading. I realized too late, the book I had grabbed to pretend to read was upside down. It was too late to shift it now without being obvious. I just had to sell it. Kairos opened the door, and seeing me naked on the bed, rushed forward, slamming the door behind him. He didn’t notice the book, didn’t care about anything at all, as he leapt toward me on the bed.

I bit the corner of the pillowcase, my legs crossing and rubbing against each other. The dormitory bed made a subtle creaking sound, scaring me into stiffening immediately. My roommate on the next bed turned over, and I held my breath until I was sure she was not awakened before I dared to continue. This sneaky feeling made the pleasure even stronger. The moonlight outside shone off my sweaty forehead. I stared at the photographs of Heath working that I had secretly taken on my phone. The figure in the white coat made me burn up inside. Even having done so, I still felt it was not enough.

But then there was silence. I saw a big tree not far away from me, so I crawled over there with my meager belongings and hid behind it. My leg started to bleed really fast and that was when I saw that the gash was immensely deep and the pain I felt started to be real. I could not see much but I could make out the blood that was already all over the floor. Shit. The. I heard voices. They were near and they were talking. “Why would she be the only person not around now? And why is the alpha king making this mandatory?” One said. I clutched my hands to my chest in fear of being caught.
