Alpha's Regret After I Left

Alpha's Regret After I Left

"I'll find a way around this, I swear." "It's not that I don't trust you. But I don't want to make the mistake of throwing away money that could earn me multiples." Even after Damien left, his words keep repeating in my head like a broken tape. Zach is gone. Now Damien too.

Shadows of Silk & Steel: A Billionaire's Secret, A Bodyguar

A symbol of the poison that had infected them. He looked from the phone to Sabe’s still, silent form across the room. The trust was shattered. The pact was broken. But the enemy was still out there, gloating on a sun-drenched terrace. And in forty-eight hours, everything would be gone. He had two choices: surrender to the paranoia that had just cost him everything, or attempt the impossible—to trust, even when every instinct screamed against it. He closed his fingers around the phone. The screen was dark, but he could still see Marcus’s sneering face. The family reunion.

The Quarterback's Roommate

The Quarterback's Roommate

“I’m going to wake up pissed that my shoulder still feels like someone drove a spike through it. Pissed that I can’t throw. Pissed that the team’s limping without me. But grateful. Every single day. Grateful that you’re here. That you stayed. That you love me even when I’m a stubborn, broken asshole who can’t even lift his own coffee without wincing.” Tears slipped down his cheeks now—silent, fast. I brushed them away with my thumb, smearing them across his skin. “I trust you,” I said. “With the injury. With the team. With the fallout. With me. And I need you to trust me back. Trust that when I said I love you, I meant forever—not until it gets hard. Not until someone from my past shows up a

Framed, So I Walked Away

Framed, So I Walked Away

He can't live without you, and neither can I. Looking at his affectionate appearance, I would definitely be moved and unable to resist following him back if I had not been given a second chance at life. Now, my heart was only filled with peace, without the slightest emotion. I looked at him calmly and slowly replied, "Titus, I don't want to experience that piercing pain of being wronged and ignored by you again. Trust is like a mirror; the cracks will always remain even if you piece it back together after it's broken. Your regret now is more about the resentment of loss and remembering my sacrifices, not about truly understanding me and genuinely knowing where you did wrong."

Bent Against The Counter Of His Desk

"I understand your intentions, Scarlett, but we should have faced this together. Trust is the foundation of our relationship, and by keeping this from me, you've shattered that trust." The weight of his words settled upon me, and I realized the gravity of my actions. I had jeopardized something precious for the sake of business, and it had cost us dearly. Regret washed over me, and I vowed to make amends, to rebuild the trust that had been broken. As we stood there in silence, the air heavy with unresolved emotions, I knew that our love would be tested once again. The future that had seemed so promising had now become uncertain, and it was up to us to navigate through the aftermath of this r

Switched Fate: Tangled In His Body

Switched Fate: Tangled In His Body

Those who ran the pack with me were in the same boat, and I want nothing more than for them to ache for what crumbled. Regret is indeed a bitter taste of realizing that the fleeting moments we took for granted can never be reclaimed. I can smell that very same emotion percolating in each of their breaths right now. “We need to have a meeting about this. I know there was much more that was overlooked.” I sighed, bending down to help him pick up the papers. I was still angry about this situation, and it has surely instilled in me some trust issues towards the council that I don’t think would ever heal, but one thing’s for sure: I would love to see more of their regret once we open more problem

SECRET LEGACY REVEALED

“I had decided to go to therapy to get rid of your love ghost, but you always managed to walk in through my heart's door and I knew that I never had been out of your love in these four years.” "So what if I had come back into your life decades later ?" questioned Leo as he held Rachel's hand in his. "A beautiful love story would have ruined because of my lack of trust in you," Rachel apologized for the time and love they lost for four long years because of her mistrust. "Life and circumstances can make us give up on someone when we shouldn’t have," Leo remarked. "Someone loved me, and I didn’t know" Rachel said with a shake of her head, chiding herself. She regretted it.

His Regret

His Regret

It’s a rare occasion that I take a pause to praise myself for how far I’ve come as Queen— the first sole Queen the Reigns has ever had. “Ralph.” I heard Cayden say. “You shouldn’t trust that Cunt.” With Cayden’s words, I found myself halting and turning to glare at him. “What did you say?” I quizzed. “I don’t think you should trust Ralph.” Cayden repeated. “I know how this may sound but I really think, without any beef, that he’s one of the people you shouldn’t trust.” “You should hear yourself speak. I shouldn’t trust my childhood friend turned lover. Who should I trust then?” I asked. “You?”

No steamy season yet in this book.only in the description of the story that’s it. Very misleading. I agree it started out great but the writing and character seem to be very childish I am loosing interest really fast. Even though it’s fave stars it should be two maybe three no more so far.

“It doesn’t work like that.” “Then tell me how it works,” he countered. I opened my mouth, but no words came out. Because the truth was, I didn’t know. How do you trust someone who shattered you? How do you move forward when every memory feels tainted? “I don’t know,” I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. Allesio leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. “Then let me figure it out.” I let out a slow breath. “Why?” “Because you’re the only thing I’ve ever wanted that I actually regret losing.” His voice was rough, raw. “And I’ll be damned if I don’t at least try.”

Cheating Fiancé, Two-Faced Sister: Now They Regret It

He snapped his gaze to me, a faint, desperate flicker of hope sparking in his eyes. I met his gaze, speaking clearly but slowly. "But for me, it doesn't erase every disappointment of being abandoned over the past three years. It doesn't undo the suspicion and humiliation I endured in public. And it certainly doesn't make the hurt of you choosing to believe her over me at the very end simply vanish." The light in his eyes went out entirely, leaving only a cold, lifeless gray. "Once trust is shattered, it can never be amended back to perfection. What we had ended the moment you kept choosing her over me. The truth and your regret only put a final period on something that should have ended long

From the opening pages I got tugged into a story that feels equal parts locker-room drama and quiet, late-night regret. 'When Trust is Gone - The Quarterback's Regret' follows a star quarterback—he’s charismatic on the field but fragile behind closed doors—whose career collapses not because of a bad throw but because the people he relied on betray him. It's messy: leaked messages, a bad deal with an agent, and a teammate who trades loyalty for a shot at the spotlight. The plot flips between public scandal and private fallout, so you see the headlines, the televised debates, and then the lonely moments of rehab, sleepless guilt, and the slow realization that winning games doesn't fix fractured bonds.

What resonated with me was how the narrative treats trust as a muscle that atrophies when ignored. There are scenes of intense practice, courtroom-like confrontations, and tender interludes with a love interest who tries to pull him back from self-destruction. The author doesn’t shy away from the darker parts—addiction, concussion fears, and the grotesque hunger of media circus—yet the book balances that with small acts of redemption: a heartfelt apology, a repair attempt with an estranged father, community service that reconnects him to why he played in the first place.

I finished feeling raw and oddly hopeful. It's not a neat redemption tale where everything's forgiven in one speech; it's more realistic—trust takes time to rebuild. If you like character-driven sports stories that dig into identity, ethics, and the cost of fame—think along the lines of 'Friday Night Lights' energy mixed with a more personal, confessional tone—this will stick with you. I closed the book thinking about second chances, which is a comforting sort of ache for me.
