CHAPTER: 1. ***** I have always said that life is cruel and in truth, it is. When you were born, you never got to choose where this journey would take you. You're just a victim of fate and whatever it wishes to do with you, it does, and there is nothing on earth you can do about it. You can't change it either. We became puns in the fierce grasp of fate. It picks you up by the head and shuffles you about pointlessly, you are left to catch yourself, to stand your grounds.

I close the door behind her and lean my back against it. I’m still not sure if saying yes was the right decision for me. Choosing a life partner is really difficult; it’s one of the hardest choices anyone has to make. The person you choose can bring a lot of happiness and joy into your life, making every day better. On the other hand, if you choose the wrong person, it can lead to a lot of problems and heartache. It’s important to think carefully and consider how this choice will affect your life in the long run.

The world me and you live in is a bitter place where sweet things can happen. To some of us life is a gracious pleasure you were lucky enough to stumble upon on your way, but to others it can be the hell on earth most talk about. Not all of us have the before mentioned, but are rather loaded with the heavy load of barring the latter. We all have options in life and therefore need to make decisions with the wisdom handed to us by the Lord. Each and every choice affects more than just the people you directly inflict an obstacle at.

"You read my journal." "The one you hid poorly. Yes." He stood, moved toward her, maintaining the distance that was also intimacy. "You lied to me, Avery. You told me it was Phase Two, the dare, the framework. But it wasn't. It was—" He stopped, the word sticking, the admission that cost him. "It was choice. Real choice. The expansion I said I wanted for you." "And?"

The first man said, "We'll deal with the consequences. But we can't keep running forever. We need to face what we've done." The third man spoke again, "And we need to make sure that the other man survives. It's the least we can do." The first man said, "Fine. We'll take go and search for them.”

I said before walking inside our mansion. It was never easy. I left everything. I lived alone. I cried alone. I healed alone. Life wasn't unfair. It was always the choices we made that would tell the story. We could always choose to live in the right way or never. We could always live in happiness and contentment that we deserve from all the choices we made. We're the ones that hold our life. We control everything. We know what's right and what's wrong. We're the ones who'll decide how to live. Our life depends on the choices we make.

The options are simple: either I abandon the court I’ve lived my whole life in service of, or I destroy the tiny life inside me for my mistakes. How could I possibly choose either of them?

Kaidora's voice is hollow. “Because they are terrible.” I move to sit beside her. “This whole situation is terrible. There's no good answer. No choice that doesn't hurt someone.” “So what do I choose?” She looks at me with tears in her eyes. “How do I decide who lives and who suffers?” “You don't.” I take her hands. “You choose what you can live with. What sits right in your heart. And we all accept your choice. Whatever it is.” “Even if it means letting you lose Darko?”

ONE MOMENT IT IS RAINING THE NEXT MOMENT THE SUN IS SHINING, SOME PEOPLE SAY CAPE TOWN WEATHER IS LIKE A WOMAN'S MOOD, ALWAYS CHANGING. SHE WENT TO SIT DOWN AND PLACED HER CUP ON A COASTER ON THE COFFEE TABLE. SHE TOOK A DEEP BREATH IN AND SLOWLY BREATHED IT OUT AGAIN. SHE WANTED TO CLEAR HER THOUGHTS. SHE NEEDED TO DECIDE WHAT SHE WAS GOING TO DO. SHE COULDN'T KEEP THIS SITUATION GOING. SHE NEEDED TO MAKE A CHOICE. SHE KNEW SHE LOVED BOTH AND SHE LOVED THEM IN DIFFERENT WAYS. THEY WERE BOTH SO DIFFERENT, SHE JUST COULDN'T BRING HERSELF TO CHOOSE.
