“Stop calling me that! I’m not some bitch you met years ago!” Hades moved closer, his gaze intense. He was about to inject her when the tattoo on her shoulder caught his eye. The dragon. He dropped his hand, his fingers tracing the outline of the ink. A flimsy excuse to cover her gunshot wound. Interesting.

I know we’ve had sex several times already, yet I still feel a deep ravenous need for him. Rising from the stool, I wrap my arms around his waist and place kisses on his back. His stomach clenches under my hands as I run them down his textured abs. “Tell me about your tattoos,” I whisper in his ear. He looks at me from the corner of his eyes, then pulls me in front of him, places my hand over his left pec, and moves it down his tight stomach. The tattoo is a large, red, and black dragon. The dragon’s head starts at his shoulder, and the tail ends at his bellybutton. The wings stretch over his right pec, and his claws extend over his ribcage.

He grinned. Before anyone could contemplate what was about to happen, a deep roar shook the earth. Sending all of them backwards. Slamming them into trees. A black giant dragon suddenly and slowly emerged from the other side of the forest. Approaching the scene stealthily. Its rough skin was dark as obsidian and long claws which could cut through steel. Its eyes burn brightly like hot coals and an earth shattering roar left its mouth, its razor sharp talons which could tear through anything. The sight of the dragon sent tremors through the men and they retreat carefully.

A dark, terrifyingly majestic tattoo of a black dragon with glowing red eyes is coiled tightly across my chest, its primal design incredibly vivid and lifelike against my skin. "The Blood-Eyed Black Dragon tattoo… That is completely impossible!" Herman suddenly coughs up a massive spray of warm blood, but his mind barely even notices the physical pain. His finger shakes uncontrollably as he points straight at my chest, his entire body trembling with deep, primal fear and absolute awe. "Forgive my old soul… My eyes were completely blind to your true status! My mind didn't recognize your body as a direct member of the royal lineage!" Herman stammers, his knees bucking.

“I took a different route just in case Antoh was on our tail. Since we’d already decided to stay in a motel, I didn’t think it would matter.” “It was actually very clever of you, my Chloe,” he said with a smile. “What is your full name?” she asked. “My name is Tristan,” he said with confusion. “I know that, but is that all there is to your name?” she asked. “Surface humans have at least two names to identify them. My name is Chloe Kensington. Chloe identifies me, and Kensington identifies the family I belong to.” “I see,” Tristan said thoughtfully. “We do things similar in Manthella. Tristan identifies me and Dragonas is the name of my family or clan. When I sign something, it is with Tr

Before it had been purple, but now it is black. I thought it was due to the distance and the glare of the sun. It didn’t take me long to realize that that mark had simply changed colors. While I knew more than I had about Dragons in the past year, I didn’t know anything about why a dragon mark would change colors. It wasn’t a tattoo and Cyran had mentioned that he had had it his entire life. All Dragons had some form of mark on them. Even Kellan had a similar tattoo, except his was green and on his left bicep. Since Kellan had his shirt on, I couldn’t see his mark.

I asked myself as I backed away weakly and nervously looking at the two Koi tattoos behind him. 'It's a Koi… Yin Yang… And the tattoo on her back isn't a moon.'

No one could tell that way that inside me was purely chaos. Vasilis turned Danae over, ripping the clothing over the spot where the seal sat. An ancient symbol in red and blue unfading ink. "Slit your palm and place it over the seal. Quick about it." Delphina ordered whilst Vasilis chanted. I let my beast slip and my claws dug into my palm, piercing my skin. I crouched and placed it over the seal before it could heal. I looked away from the leaking liquid that reminded me whose child I was. Who I truly was and how powerless i'd become.

And that was when I saw it. Stretching across the width of his back was a massive black dragon tattoo, its scales inked with terrifying precision, claws angled like they were tearing through flesh, its wings spreading across his shoulders like shadows about to swallow the room and the jaws.... they were open in a silent roar, teeth jagged and vicious, fire curling from its throat in dark crimson strokes. Even as a boy, the sight froze the breath in my lungs. And from that day, I understood Dragos differently. I read the meanings knitting his words carefully, and before long I realized something unsettling.

Kylan smirked, and Ava thought he looked like a predator whose prey had walked into his lair on her own two feet. Kylan turned, and then Ava’s eyes fell on something on his back. It was a black dragon tattoo, and it was right in the center of his upper back. A flash of images rushed through Ava’s mind, and her breath caught in her throat. What was that? She didn’t know why, but seeing the dragon tattoo on Kylan’s back gave her a sense of deĵa vu. Why did it look so familiar?
