Give in. I closed my eyes and felt him deep inside me. I felt him clawing away in there, and I let go, dropping whatever barrier was holding him back. A ring of fire spread across my eyes. My entire body was a light yellow fire with bright orange and red tips. Wings erupted from my shoulder blades, spreading wide beside me. They were covered in orange and deep red flames. Every step I took turned the sand on the shore into glass.

I feel my insides go on fire as soon as we lock eyes “How on earth? I don’t even have your number” Levi starts his evil laugh under his breath as Grace look at him seemingly for an explanation. “I may have written down Max’s number instead of mine” Shes looks between the two of us again and my hands fly up in defence. I am not going down for Levi’s sly trick. I mean as grateful as I am to of found out her name and get her number this was all on him.

Power floods my veins, white-hot and ancient and I move. One moment I am standing before her, the next, I am between the fire and my child. The flames slam into my back, silver, black and screaming, and I scream with them, pain tearing through me like razors. But I do not fall, I absorb it. I can’t breathe.” She stepped even closer, ignoring the heat that tried to push her back. “Let me anchor you. Just look at me.” He lifted his hand but the dark flame jumped from his palm like a living thing. It arched into the air and split open in the shape of wings made of fire. They stretched wide behind him, crackling with heat so intense the air rippled.

The demons press in closer, watching the scene that is unfolding in front of them. Warrick glares at his father and his skin starts to glow orange and then flames erupt across his skin and collect in his hands. Shit. Looks like we are fighting our way out of here. “What the hell are you?” His father asks when navy wings erupt from Warrick’s back. Alina howls in my head, ‘He absorbed your angel abilities! Hot damn!’ I do not have time to wonder about it because I now have a gun to my head. Fear washes through me and my heartbeat quickens. I hesitate only a moment before I unleash my own flames and my wings burst forth, knocking his father away. Warrick pulls me to him and we face off against

I can see the faint outline of what looks like wings spread behind her. Wings of fire that seem to take the shape of a heart… A piercing scream rips through the air as her power increases tenfold and surges into the sky, emanating in waves around her. I see the swirls of the flames behind her move before I see a tiny part of her left wing snap and shrivel into embers of ash. It’s too blinding to look at, and I’m forced to avert my gaze.

I reply as I release my power. My hair turns red and my eyes go ashen. I aim straight for the demon's stomach as my flame eats away at his blackened tendrils. A screech of agony is given from the demon prince as I continue to blast him, my energy drains quickly as I give a worried look at Knight who's fingers have begun shooting purple sparks at the demon. Wrapping around him, and dragging him towards us. The demon doesn't realize it yet, but he has already lost.
