I began to protest before he cut me off with a growl. "I'd love to prove you wrong, baby" Before I could process his words, Adrian gripped my hips and withdrew with an agonizingly slow slide that left me breathless and aching. A helpless whimper escaped my lips as he lifted me off the edge of the desk. My feet barely touched the cold hardwood floor before he turned me around, pressing my stomach flat against the smooth, dark wood of the massive bookshelf lining the far wall. The cool leather of bound books pressed against my cheek, creating a sharp, intoxicating contrast to the burning heat of his body behind me.

My heart in my throat, I slammed the door behind me, settling down on the dressing chair, my mind replaying the events in the red room. I let out a breath. Brush it off, Eve... get ready for Monday, do whatever it takes to get your father back on his feet. I picked up the wipe, rubbing my face off the make-up, and going out of being Eve to Meave. Why had the woman asked me who I was, and why was she calling him "Jaspie"?

She was wonderful and I’m so happy she’s found a really great guy to make her happy too, I do miss the company though for sure. “I’m OK.” I assured her as we moved to the couch. She curled herself up and sat close, her hand on my arm “I have news… I don’t know how to tell you this because it’s ….. unreal.” I laughed, not imagining what it could be “Just tell me for goodness sake. “I found Eve.. she’s alive.” I think my brain short circuited because could have sworn she just told me Eve was alive. “What?” “I was at the bookstore today and there was an signing event for an author called Eden Meadows … anyway, umm it’s Eve. "

“Since you’re back, are you going to pick the next book?” I blinked. “Me?” “Of course,” she said, smiling. “You’ve been gone. You deserve the honor.” Everyone nodded expectantly. I looked down at the stack of books on the table, my fingers brushing across their covers. My hand paused on a novel about love, identity and societal expectations. This book will give them a glimpse of what I passed through during my absence. I smiled softly. “How about this one?” Brent groaned. “Oh no, not another depressing tragedy. Can’t we read something with a hopeful romance?”

He didn’t say I was his fiancée or bride-to-be—just a name. Josie narrowed her eyes slightly as she looked me over, her tone light and pleasant. “Hi, I’m Josie. Come in, don’t be shy. Make yourself at home. What would you like to drink? There’s champagne in the fridge he just bought, or you can try the coffee I made. He said my skills have improved.” She carried herself like the lady of the house. I clenched my teeth, feeling my anger rise. To be honest, she didn’t look like the daughter of heroes who had once taken a bullet for someone. She looked delicate, fragile, and almost spoiled.

This room was where the main character had stayed for several months, and his scent was all over the place. Uea stepped into the room and found a place to sit. He closed his eyes, forcing himself to push out every unwanted thought. He had entered this novel to have fun. From the beginning, he'd always known that everyone in the book was simply a paper figure. He hadn't intended to pay much attention to anything either, aside from the fun. So, why now? Even if all the male leads were the same person, what was so strange about that? Uea remembered he hadn't bothered giving his male leads many features, and before he entered this book, he hadn't kissed anyone either.

She heard it Sneeze. "Y-yes.. at my house." She stuttered. She glared at it. "Thanks! For keeping Alysia in your house." Smiling gratefully to him. "Your welcome." Her plastic smile at the man. "Uhm, I'm just at the library?" Benedick said goodbye to him. Benedick knew the young woman Catherine Ashton and her family, "the great famous and number one Billionaire of Asia they often rival Don Henry in the business world because of its excellence. The Ashton Families are unlikely to be known around the world.
