Black mist exuded from his body, and his aura turned evil. He raised his hand, and a strange inscription appeared in his palm. The inscription appeared above the beast’s head. Then, a powerful energy attacked the beast. “Buzz!” The beast was shocked. It made a sound before rushing toward James ferociously. The beast’s defense was terrifying. The Curse Inscription did not harm it. Fiercely, it pounced on James. At this moment, a scene in the deepest part of the Dark World appeared in James’ mind. It was a seal. It sealed a magnificent evil power.

"Vengeance, retaliation, retribution, revenge are deceitful brothers - vile, beguiling demons promising justifiable compensation to a pained soul for his losses. Yet in truth, they craftily fester away all else of worth remaining." - Richelle E. Goodrich, The Tarishe Curse * * * * Yuri’s eye twitched dangerously as she strode down the hallways of the dormitories of Hati, with a chatterbox, namely Tohya Tanigawa, talking her ear off beside her.

The world around us darkened. She gasped. Images flashed through my mind. A crown sinking through black water. A white wolf chained beneath a temple. Orochi drinking from the throat of a silver-armoured warrior. Then another face. Hayate’s. He stood before a sealed gate with blood on his hands. I released Tsukiko. She stumbled into the side of a car. Hayate caught her elbow. “What did you see?” Tsukiko stared at him as if he had become something else.

It’s not that I don’t accept what he said, because I do, and intend to go by it, but it’s the way he said it that seemed strange. It was almost like he knew Rome wouldn’t be coming back anytime soon. I get better over the next few days, I can eat now, I sleep with little to no nightmares, and I can stay almost the entire day without mental ritual images plaguing me. Imagery is such a weird thing; it’s one of the things that falls under both the Curse bracket and the Blessing bracket. It’s nice when you can picture everything that is said, that you read, it’s amazing, but when you see something you probably shouldn’t have seen, and then you can’t unsee it…well, it really fucking sucks.

he groaned as he felt more pains at the back of his neck and more headache. "What is happening?" He muttered as his eyes began to ache too. Suddenly a mark appeared at the middle of his palm in ancient writings and since he could read ancient writings, he read them and his eyes popped out like an owl, as if they would fall off anytime soon. On his palm was boldly written in ancient writings, 'The cursed wolf'. He looked at Lydia and then at himself and then it dawned on him. Lydia wasn't the one who would break his curse. It was Jade and Lydia was the one to curse him more.

Later on, I might end up dying in vain again. I need to kill Hiro and forget what that fake Polo said to me. I know who I cursed, and it's Polo's descendant. I knew that Hiro was the rebirth of Polo. And I will make sure to kill him. My eye color changes into black, including the white area. Finn pulled my hand. "Shh," he whispered. I turned on my senses. What is happening? Am I missing something? "Kagome, hear me out." That voice... I don't understand if I'm hearing a voice of a man or a girl.

"Without fear, without hesitation, I accept you, Cassian. I accept every part of you." A blinding light erupted in the center of the room. Black tendrils of cursed magic burst from Cassian's body, twisting through the air like living shadows. They crashed violently against the silver light, filling the chamber with deafening roars. The very walls of the castle trembled as the ancient curse fought desperately against the bond.

It landed strangely, low in my chest, somewhere I didn't have time to examine right now. "What's in there?" I asked. He was quiet for a long moment. The floor beneath us gave another small shudder, the same low groan I'd felt earlier, like the whole house was breathing through something it didn't want to. "Records," he said finally. "Old ones. From before the war." "About the curse?" His eyes sharpened slightly. "How do you know about that?" I opened my hand and held the locket out where he could see it, the small folded paper still tucked inside, the symbol catching the hallway's low light.

Tapping his chin, he mused aloud, “Ahh, a Fenrisúlfr, huh?” The name alone gave his fur a shiver—though he’d never admit that to Shu. “Big bad wolf of the old pantheons… chaos spirit of destruction… giant fangs… wrath issues… existential grudges against celestial bureaucracy…” Yin listed off gleefully, counting on his fingers like he was ordering pastries. He giggled. “Yes, scary man. Very scary. Damn scary. I want to meet him.” Because Yin, truly, was a menace in fluffy disguise.
