Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

“My name is Jenna.” Kristi could not know it, but Jenna was a witch. She was more than three hundred years old. As a teenager in seventeenth century Massachusetts, she had managed to elude the zealots of the Salem Witch Trials, even while dozens of women were being hanged as witches, most of them innocent. If she could have helped any of them she would have, but there was nothing she could do except save herself. She had made a habit of keeping a low profile ever since. “I’m going to ask you a few questions,” Jenna said. “Blink once for yes, twice for no. Do you understand?”

Payment To the Alpha

Payment To the Alpha

Her daughter knew everything and she had the gift to. I couldn't believe what they had been through, killed because of a gift they were born with. I knew of the Salem trials, we had read about them when I was in school. And I knew how any woman with a brain who spoke her spoke her truth was killed off as a witch. Then there were those who actually were witches and knew how to use magic but I didn't that back then. But this was Jasper's history, his legacy, his ancestors and they had almost all of them met a gruesome end.

Blood Of The Chosen One: Resurrection Of Vampires

Blood Of The Chosen One: Resurrection Of Vampires

“In Salem, in 1692, a dozen teenage girls known as ‘the afflicted’, experienced a mysterious illness that led them to become hysterical and to independently scream out that local witches were tormenting them. This led to the Salem Witch Trials.” Amber rubbed her forehead and was about typing the name she saw when Roselyn pulled out the plug of the computer and the screen went blank. Amber raised her eyes to look at her and she heard her say, “Time is up.”

Love Spell

Love Spell

There was always a child tormented by fevers, some poor woman's delivery got always complicated, and my conscience did not allow me to turn my back on the hurting and suffering people. Hm, in modern times Yoleandra would have been a very good doctor. Pfff. What nonsense am I thinking? Since we are the same person, she is! Then, the terrible trials for which the city would later be so famous were unleashed. The name Salem would be pronounced as a synonym for the fiercest and most terrible witch hunt in the United States. When I learned in 1692 that two women named Sara Good and Mary Parker respectively had been convicted on charges of witchcraft, I decided to turn myself in. I was convinced t

The Curse Alpha's Son

The Curse Alpha's Son

After several hours of research, I came across the words ‘witchcraft.’ There wasn’t a lot available online but after looking through all available websites, I found it quite easy to learn how to counter any of the witch’s spells in addition to knowing where to find books, journals, and other things related to them. However, that only meant that I could only know so much in order to avoid becoming caught up in all those horrible events. Still, that was better than being completely ignorant, which is probably why these articles weren’t too informative at first. One paragraph in particular hit home though and made me realize exactly what I am dealing with. In it, there is a section titled, ‘Th

The Blackening Of Olive Lane

"Very well then. Welcome to Ravenswood, miss Milano. I hope you have a great stay here. My name is Professor Ludwig and as for the rest of you, miss Adeline sends her greetings. She says her studies are going well and she misses you all." "WE MISS HER TOO!" The class chorused. And though her tests gave them headaches every time. No one could deny the fact that she was a great teacher. "Now! Onto the topic. Open your textbooks to page 45" Professor Ludwig spoke bringing the class to a quiet. " The Salem Witch Trials were a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial......"

Luna Channing

Luna Channing

I was about to say something when that woman who had been following me around at the festival appeared. "Ms. Stephens I've been waiting for you by the river. What is taking you so long?" She asked, placing her hands on her waist. How did she know we were going to the river? "I know you boys." She said looking at the group of men. "If I remember correctly your grandfathers tried to have me killed back in 1692 during the Salem Witch Trials. Do I need to do to you what they did to me?" The men backed up at the threat and she smiled.

His cursed Luna

His cursed Luna

His only mistake was to fall in love with the wrong person - with me. " Her name was Aurora!" His words caught me out of the guard. " A white which, in her twenties. I never believed in love until I've met her, she thought me how to laugh, how to care, and the most important thing was how to love." He sights unable to finish what he was saying, closes his eyes for a while. Then adds " In between 1692 and 1693, more than two hundred people from Salem were accused of practicing witchcraft—the Devil's magic—and twenty were executed... Well, that what was written on stories, not what really happened. Twenty females were convicted of practicing witchcraft during a trial. As for the rest, they wer

A beautiful story. I like how the cure to the curse for the alpha is for him to find true love or learn how to love it creates a deeper romance meaning underneath it. And the plot develops well throughout the chapters.

I stopped and read aloud: “Nathaniel Hawthorne was more than just another author who wrote about Salem. He lived in Salem. Most of his stories are set in Salem. Most of the buildings he described in Salem are integral to his stories, and many of them still stand here today. “More importantly, Hawthorne had a direct personal connection to some of the events and characters in his work. His most famous work, for example, The Scarlet Letter, tells the story of a woman, Hester Prynne, who is imprisoned and scorned by her peers for her adulterous behavior. Hawthorne had a more direct connection to these events than one would think. His real grandfather, John Hawthorne, was one of the principal jud

The Hybrid's Mate

The Hybrid's Mate

I gesture to the book in my lap, “I guess I was inspired.” “The Salem Witch Trials is a dark subject to touch on.” The girl remarks. “But since we live in Massachusetts and it's kind of like our 'claim to fame' we have to do reports on it, every year around this time. This is my ninth report on the witch trials.” I say. Every Halloween is when we study this fascinating subject. I feel myself being drawn to the violence and misery of the stories. Morbid, I know, but I can't seem to help myself. It just fascinates me to no end.
