When I catch myself pacing, I decide to fill in the time by reading the rest of the story from Queen Athena’s book, I didn’t find anything the first time but I am convinced I missed something, maybe there is some sort of clue that leads to the truth that I haven’t gotten to reading yet. I pick it up and open it up to the last page I stopped. I am more than halfway through, I’d dumped it when I realized it was more fiction than history and they went a little too deep when describing her forbidden relationship with her lover. I would rather not read about someone getting laid when I can’t. I have my mate so close yet so far away and that is the worst type of pain. The next page is another heat

She slipped them on and then went into the bathroom to brush her teeth to get ready for bed. Afterward, she lay in her bed and opened her book, a novel about living in the 1500s. A palace made of stone, a prince, and a banned relationship was involved. She licked her lips as she read the part about the prince; he was tall, dark, handsome, and of course, charming.

The author masterfully weaves together Addie's past and present, revealing the many struggles and triumphs she has faced over the centuries. One of the standout elements of the book is the vivid descriptions of France in the 18th century, which create a strong sense of time and place. The historical details are well-researched and add depth to the story, while also highlighting the stark differences between Addie's life in the past and present. It makes me love France more. I eat my gumbo, I put the book down, and I call Cyp. He picks up almost immediately, like he's been waiting by the phone for me.

She's been here before so she had no problem second guessing if she was in the right place. She made her way into it and found an array of books. After glossing through books of different genres, she settled for a romance book. From the description at the back of the book, she found out that the book was about a romance between a king and his slave which he bought from a country. She likes the book because it was about true love which she thought she would find but going through a series of events, she's yet to find it. She sighed as she thought of her mate.
