The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then Lily felt fear creeping into her chest. God. The real fear. Fair. The terrifying fear. Reasonable. The what-if fear. God. What if they couldn't get out? Fair. What if nobody found them? Reasonable honestly. What if— God. No. Fair. No. Reasonable. She couldn't think like that. God. Not now. Fair. Not with Peanut watching her. Reasonable honestly. Then something happened. God. Something small. Fair. Something strange. Reasonable. Peanut pointed.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Acknowledge fear is an illusion

Acknowledge fear is an illusion

I am Stefanie and soon I will become a valedictorian at my university. They said I have the guts but my problem was my weakness. Anthropophobia is a fear of rejection created by people. I got this during kindergarten where I faced my childhood classmates and my teacher with a sudden nervousness and shock. I was about to explain my family tree when three of my classmates mocked my sketch and compared it to the faces of monkeys. They laughed so hard until I can’t take what they have said and I tore my sketch with a loud cry. My teacher defends me but the pupils keep on mocking and bullied me until I reached high school.

Once Upon a Tryst

Once Upon a Tryst

[Faye] I know it might sound strange, I still am and have always been a little afraid of the dark. Actually no, that’s not quite accurate. Terrified would be the appropriate word. Terrified of the dark. I know all little kids fear the dark a little bit at some point, but the terror I feel go beyond the regular childhood fears of monsters under the bed or in the closet. I don’t fear being in the dark. I have an honest fear of the darkness itself. When I stare out into a complete deep shadow, it doesn’t feel empty, it feels overwhelmingly full.

Ruthless Love; Betrayal and Redeemtion

– as he dragged her to the frame where a huge glass cube was settled, he pushed me in and locked me in the cage. He called some of his minions and put tons of mouse inside the cage, as she looked at him with horrified eyes, she is Monophobia (extreme fear of mice and rate), she can see his lips curved in a creepy smile, as those little monster were crippling onto her legs. The Pirate Who Stole My Heart

The Pirate Who Stole My Heart

I need to prioritize them as what my father always says, your people is like a cell in your body, if one doesn’t want to respect you, they will spread like a virus that's why you need to inject fear to them or they will slowly kill you without you knowing. As a child, I complied. I learned how to mask myself. Many want to befriend me but when they started to get close to me, they will start to distant their selves from me. That's when I found out, they are afraid of me and of what I am capable of doing to them if they mess up. Funny. Sometimes they said they couldn’t stay long with me because I’m scary and they all got scared that I will devour them whole just because I don't like them, thei

Kidnapped by the Billionaire - Special Recovery

CHAPTER 17 – Will There are few things in this world I’m afraid of. I can handle snakes, spiders, wild animals, serial killers, and psychopaths—as long as they are directed at me. But I can’t begin to explain the terror I felt when those fuckers broke into my home and almost got Shay.

Where fear ends

Where fear ends

he began, already starting to pull his hand away. “No,” I whispered, too fast. My voice came out shaky but insistent. “I’m not scared.” His eyes searched mine. I wanted to look away, but I didn’t. Not this time. “I don’t know what I’m feeling,” I admitted, my voice barely a breath. “It’s... big. Like I can’t fit it all inside my chest.”

The Alpha King's Silver Luna

The Alpha King's Silver Luna

But it was the only one I could make. At eight months, Luna asked the question I'd been dreading. "Mama, why do the committee people look at me like they're scared?" We were in the playroom, building blocks (which kept floating away from her, requiring constant retrieval). "They're not scared of you, baby. They're scared of your power." "Why?" How did you explain existential dread to an eight-month-old? "Because your power is very strong. Stronger than most wolves have ever seen. And sometimes, people are afraid of things they don't understand."

But then the room turned bright and he came to her bedside once again. Crouching down, he looked at her and she scooted to the far end of the bed. "I'm sorry..." he sighed. "Jacques, please... Don't be scared. I just want to talk to you. Can you come out? I don't like it... I have cleithrophobia..." "Cleithrophobia?" Jacques gulped. She knew it is the fear of getting trapped in small spaces and if he is feeling phobic now, she wondered if he is planning on getting in.

Little Emily

Little Emily

Lord knows I'm not planning on heading to the house anytime soon. My heart stopped when I saw a figure walking towards me from a distance. I closed my eyes and counted to three before running. I didn't know why I was running. I mean, it could just be a stranger minding his or her own business. But I have watched too many horror movies at this age, so I know when some stupid things are about to happen. I felt like fainting when I heard the footsteps coming towards me, like the person was also running, trying to get to me.

Very different novel from others , hard to put down as gripping story line from ex husband's and scheming mistress , which are super boring. hope the author does justice to the story line. though dying of Austin wasn't necessary..
Denina Armstrong
The story was interesting but I don’t feel there was any closure. Who was the man/person Matthew? Who was he working for? It could not just be Amy doing all of the stuff? Who killed or ran Austin off the road?? How is Isabella? So many questions no answers!!!!
