LOVE AND HONOR: The Mad Emperor (BL)

LOVE AND HONOR: The Mad Emperor (BL)

That Ancient Rome has three time period: Roman Kingdom—founding and early days, ruled by kings (Rome's childhood) Roman Republic—people overthrew the monarch, and was governed by elected officials called senators (Rome's young adulthood) Roman Empire (my novel's timeline)—a period of centralized rule under an Emperor (Rome's adulthood) And when you say Ancient Rome, you are mentioning Rome in history as a whole, but when you say Roman Empire, it is only a specific time period in history.

Queen Of Ace

Queen Of Ace

Sullivan laid her eyes on him and motioned him to recite, he abruptly stood up and answered, "Classical antiquity and the modern period." "That's correct, Mr. Augustine, you can now sit." She smiled at him before she continued, "I've asked you to review these other periods so you'll be familiar with today's topic. Now, when did these two periods begin?" No one raised a hand, as they immediately scanned their textbooks for answers. So after a few seconds, I reluctantly raised mine and was immediately called by Ms. Sullivan. "Classical antiquity began in between the eighth century BC and sixth century AD. While modern period on the other hand started between the fifteenth century to around eig

She took another sip of wine, using the moment to collect herself. "And you?" she asked. "What does the formidable Lycan King do when he's not ruling a kingdom?" "Sleep," I echoed her earlier response, gratified when it earned me another small smile. "But truthfully? I read. History, primarily." "Any particular period?" "The Migration Era fascinates me. When our kinds first established territories and governance structures." I leaned slightly closer, lowering my voice. "The historical accounts are woefully incomplete. Most official texts suggest a natural separation of species, but primary sources tell a different story."

We sat, and he reached for the cocktail menu immediately. "So, Charles," James said, always the first to start small talk. "Annie said you teach medieval history. What period do you focus on?" "Oh, mostly… uh… the Middle Ages in general," Charles answered, vague as fog. "The middle centuries." The middle centuries? My brows pinched for a second. In the app he'd talked very specifically about the Byzantine period and the Crusades. "Interesting," Margaret said. "My son is learning about the Hundred Years' War in school. You must know a lot about that."

The Cursed Alpha's Mate

The Cursed Alpha's Mate

What I hadn't expected was for him to try to bury me with work all of a sudden to get me off his tail. "This contains the history of our kind from the first king to the third. We went through a period when we had no monarch," the Royal Historian said, picking up a book. "This book covers the history of wolves in the days when we didn't have a stable rulership." The book she produced next was the biggest I ever saw in my life. "Am I really to read all these?" I asked, rubbing my neck. I knew there would be work to be done but these books would take months to read.

This book is so dark and yet so intriguing and beautiful at the same time. I hope the extent of torture Aysel had to endure in the beginning chapters doesn't exist in real life, oh God. Great job author!!
Caribbean Princess
Well written, suspenseful and good to the very last chapter, exploring all the different facets of human characters. ... Jabari and Celeste need their own story, it doesn't have to be as long as Aysel and Valen's but there's enough to make a book. Going to start reading the author's other books. ...

Whispers of the Heart

Whispers of the Heart

It wasn’t hard yet, just time consuming. In addition to that, we had a ballad to read in English and I needed to at least start on my History presentation for Thursday or Friday, whichever day I was called. Mr. Hanson had us draw other places around the world to present what was going on during the rise and fall of Rome. Each country or region was broken up into three time periods starting around five hundred BC through one hundred AD. I had drawn the region of Arabia and Jordan during the period year one through one hundred AD and needed to do research to get the information I wanted to present ready.

NOTE BEFORE YOU READ….. Note before you read… The next few chapters are written in the Carolingian Renaissance and the Vikings era but don't stick to the fact. You will find a few things that have been added to fit into the story. So if you find anything strange or unusual, then remember the next few chapters are based on historical fantasy fiction books. Do add or check the other book of the author. Revenge on the Mafia lord. .. .. .. YEAR 956 AD. It was a loud night, one where the sounds of crickets chirping could not be heard and the clouds smothered the moon and stars.

he whispered. "...because blood remembers." Lucien smiled for the first time since entering the library. "Now you're asking the right questions." Adrian barely heard him. His attention had shifted to another shelf. Hundreds of journals stood in perfect order. Each spine carried nothing except a year. 1348. 1349. 1350. 1351. 1352. 1353 Years that historians associated with plague, war, conquest, or catastrophe. He pulled one volume halfway from the shelf. "Why these years?" Elias didn't stop him.
