most especially my aunt was waiting really impatiently. "Finally! Can we leave now?" She asked sighing in relief. I nod my head in reply. I hugged Britney good bye. "You had better give me all the deets on you and Christian when you get back." She mumbles in my ear before I separated from her. My uncle whispered a spell opening up a portal to HUDRATS, that's the name of the school my family owns. It's a school for witches and wizard. And also anything supernaturally related. The school exists to help people learn their magic.

A colossal dome arched overhead, painted with celestial sigils that shifted with every breath, depicting the four ancient Houses that ruled Aetherborn. At the center of the hall stood the Sanctum of Mirrors a vast, glowing circle of crystal platforms arranged like petals. Each one shimmered in a different hue, representing a Castle: Noctis, in black and red flame. Lupaxis, in molten gold and deep earth tones. Wyverndale, in blue and silver stormlight. Tenebrae, in lilac and dark velvet hues. The first years, still buzzing with nerves and awe, were gathered in the center ring. They stood on the pale, neutral crystal where no colors yet burned, unclaimed.

Mine. I walked through every hallway, checking on my people. Callum & Keiran’s Room – Gold and navy tones. Antique headboard. Silk sheets. A sitting area with a fireplace. I caught them mid laugh, shirtless, unpacking cologne and boots. Callum pulled me in for a kiss. “Ye did good, lass.” Rory’s Room – Sleek and masculine. Leather furniture. A whole ass office setup. He’d already set up four monitors and was installing a tea station. “This place is fuckin’ Hogwarts on steroids.”

Tom muttered as he saw the big inscription on the school gates. “Ziggy is the name of a person,” I told him, forgetting he probably knew. He rolled his eyes at me and led the way again. “Charlotte says he will be in hall sixteen for his lectures. The hall should be in the…” Tom paused, looking around. He seemed to be having a hard time finding the halls. I checked around for myself. “There are halls one to five on the first floor,” I said out of observation. “Going by this rule, I believe hall sixteen will be on the fourth floor.” Both of us nodded at once and used the elevator.

He gently pushed open the massive iron doors, and a subtle creak echoed through the silent Hall. As I stepped inside, I was taken aback by the interior. It was something straight out of a Harry Potter movie. The walls were carved with golden symbols and figures that seemed to come alive the more you looked at them. There were no chairs around, just artistic tapestries that hung on each of the four large windows and a statue that stood in the center of the room.

I stated so that he could here what he truly meant. “Wouldn’t be the first time,” he shrugged as he drove. I saw the massive building that was the Halls of Residence. It was built with pure white marble and the pillars were intimidating. He zoomed into the large compound and parked near the stairs. He got out of the car and walked all the way to my door and opened it. I guess despite his ruthless nature, he was still a gentleman. The insides of the halls had been repainted and arranged. There were more chandeliers and white statues of naked women scattered all around the place. Expensive paintings filled the walls and even though it was still past midnight, there was activity all around.

“It needs us.” Together, they placed the disk in the gate’s center. The stone flared. Magic roared through the room like wind, howling down the corridor. Then the gate opened. What lay beyond wasn’t a chamber. It was a sanctum — a temple lost to time. Starlight glowed from the ceiling, even though no sky pierced the stone above. At its center: a dais carved with twin wolves, one silver, one obsidian, facing each other with bared teeth and interlocked tails.

The fourth and fifth floors of Hollis Hall were home to witches alone, warded against normal students. Not that they weren't aware the floors were there, but instead felt no desire to visit. The entire campus was like that, places where the ordinary and the magical existed side-by-side, but never met, at least for the normals.
