Luna's vengeance: Tears of Luna

Luna's vengeance: Tears of Luna

Students rushed past me as I looked through my documents to find the school map. A group of students rushed past me and my documents flew out of my hands and were now dancing in the air as though welcoming me to the campus finally they came down gliding lightly through the air. I was red in the face, but gladly nobody paid any attention. I quickly dashed forward and picked them all up and finally found the map. On top of the map was written in bold: Welcome to the Hollow woods high. This name gave me the creeps, but I was here now so I looked through it and found out my first class was in building 3.

The Royal Prince’s Destined Bride

The Royal Prince’s Destined Bride

“Something that could help us.” I followed her up the hundreds of stairs to her tower, my heartbeat pounding in my ears with each step. When Esmeralda threw open the doors to her chambers, I nearly gasped at the sight. My heart leaped into my throat. Hovering above her potions table was a three-dimensional map of the seven magical kingdoms, completely created to scale. The entire map was several yards wide and nearly three feet tall, and the entire thing glowed with a translucent light. Magic. “What do you see?” Esmeralda asked desperately, gesturing to the map.

Mage of Wolves

Mage of Wolves

It was truly quite an accomplishment, even if I wished it wasn’t there. Before I reached the school, I shifted back into my human form and paused on the periphery of the forest, taking it in. The last time I’d been here, I’d passed out, and Ben had had to carry me home, so I hadn’t really checked the school out in its finished state. It reminded me a lot of the school in France. Several large marble steps led to the front entryway with a huge double wooden door, with stained glass panels. Above them, the inscription, “School for Mages” was clearly carved into the stone. Though the building was taller and not as wide as the original, it looked like a school for witches. The stone looked weath

This is one of my favorites. It is written well and is not like the other cliche wolf stories. The plot is so well thought out, I eagerly await updates. Thanks for offering something so new and unique while keeping our so beloved wolves in their well deserved light.

he asked. “No. Just temporarily misplaced at the moment.” I said looking around the corridors trying to figure out where I was. My father snapped his fingers and there was a puff of smoke and dust and there in his hand was a rolled-up piece of old parchment. “What the hell…” I said out loud before I could stop myself. He just lightly chuckled. “You have a lot to learn my young pup.” Was all he said before he handed it to me. I opened it up and it was a map of this place. It reminded me of that map Fred and George gave to Harry Potter in the movie. You could see a red dot with my name next to it, and a purple dot with a crown right next to it.

Great read! Especially for a new author. Interesting story that kept me engaged. Loved the slow introduction of characters that allowed me to get to know each one. However, if you are looking for steamy bedroom scenes, you will find this lacking.

Wicked Crown

Wicked Crown

They waited for almost a minute but the water didn't change colour at all, she bit her lips together. As she knows, the academy has five types of houses. It depends on what power you contain, if blue then you have water, red for fire, gold for ground, and white for air. And yellow for being normal, that you don't have any powers at all. Instead of feeling down she's happy, she's really happy! That she's normal, she heard the discrimination about between the being ordinary but she doesn't care at all.

HARRISON UNIVERSITY: The School of Monsters

HARRISON UNIVERSITY: The School of Monsters

It continued that furrowed my brows. I looked at the map again. There is a silver crest engraving the gold initials of the school. Mostly seems to be connected by red veins, which is very cool and mystic. Not mentioning some unknown wings behind the initials. Then it shrunk and shown me the map of the actual school itself, the final one. I convinced myself for the last time not to leave. So I start looking for the parking lot this hologram is saying. But I can't stop wondering if the huge walls I sighted earlier from the arch are theirs. Which I initially confirmed as fast as I've I reached my destination.

The Savage Luna and Her Six Obsessive Monsters

The Savage Luna and Her Six Obsessive Monsters

I mumbled. “This is the South Wing,” Lara said softly, voice mechanical like she’d memorized the speech. “Most of the dorms are located here. You’ll be staying in Section C, which is mostly first-years. The North Wing houses the arena, the armory, and most training grounds. The East Wing is for the scholars, and the West is restricted unless permitted.” She kept talking and I zoned out. Because what the hell was this? Some Hogwarts-Meets-Asylum hybrid with gods and monsters thrown in for fun?

MARKED BY MY MONSTERS.

MARKED BY MY MONSTERS.

I nod and put the vial in my pants pocket. "And you can't tell anyone." "I know." I glance at the paper on the floor and pick it up. I unfold it, and it's a minimalist representation of the cafeteria... the East tower... the hall. "Is this a map of Blood Valley Academy?" "Errh... yes." Studying this map, it seems the location of this school isn't random; it's like everything is all connected. All the towers seem to point at something in the center. "So it can lead me out of the academy?" I ask with a grin.

The Witch Sisters and The Wolves

The Witch Sisters and The Wolves

Marco had the most advanced defense against supernaturals, particularly vampires and demons. The headmistress of the school is a high ranking member of the House of Hecate. That's why the whole school is covered with a magical barrier. For some reason, humans trust witches and wizards more than any other supernatural beings. Maybe because, aside from being immortal and having magical powers, they looked a lot like humans. The fact that they don't eat people or drink blood probably helped.

Frequently Asked Questions

I still get a little giddy when I pull up a fan-made map of Hogwarts—it's like opening a very specific, slightly unreliable atlas of nostalgia. From my own doodles in the margins of notebooks to the polished illustrations by MinaLima and the film studio model, there's a whole spectrum of how people try to pin down that impossibly living castle. In the books, J.K. Rowling gives us a lot of evocative details—Great Hall, moving staircases, the Forbidden Forest hugging one side, Hogsmeade a walk away—but she also treats the castle like a storytelling device rather than a carefully surveyed blueprint. That means authors, illustrators, and filmmakers have to fill in gaps, sometimes in different directions. The Marauder's Map, as written in 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban', is a neat canonical piece: it shows secret passages and people’s footprints and is explicitly magical, so its accuracy is story-accurate, but still limited by what its creators wanted it to reveal.

Working from the books, you'll notice a bunch of inconsistencies if you try to make a single coherent plan. Staircases move, portraits can open secret doors, and rooms like the Room of Requirement appear and vanish depending on needs—those are features, not bugs. Specifics shift between books too: the location and description of the Chamber of Secrets entrance, the layout around the Quidditch pitch, and the relative distance to Hogsmeade are flexible. The films and the studio model gave us a visually consistent Hogwarts, which is amazing for immersion but sometimes contradicts textual hints—kitchens famously sit beneath the Great Hall in both mediums, but how you get there and the scale of the castle versus the grounds changes. Fan cartographers spend years reconciling corridors described in different chapters, suggesting compromises (e.g., the hospital wing near the third-floor landing in one scene, but reachable by other routes elsewhere).

If you're looking for a map that's 'true to the books', expect an interpretive map rather than a surveying map. I love comparing versions: the Marauder's Map (in-story magical map) feels right for showing secret passages and live locations, while film and fan maps give a consistent physicality that makes scenes easier to visualize. For roleplaying or home campaigns I tend to prefer a hybrid—use the film's geography for scale and atmosphere, but keep the book's flexible features (moving stairs, hidden rooms) as gameplay mechanics. And if you're nerding out late at night like I do, try sketching your own layout: you start reconciling contradictions and end up inventing lovely little passageways that feel exactly like Hogwarts should—mysterious, slightly contradictory, and totally alive.
