I couldn't help but smile as I moved ahead in line. Soon, I collected my uniform. The uniform was neatly folded and tied with a dark velvet ribbon. As I untied it and lifted the fabric, I felt a mix of awe and curiosity. The outer robe was a deep, earthy brown—plain yet dignified—signifying that we were new initiates, still unranked in the academy's hierarchy. The male students wore the same sharp suits but with trousers, though the hierarchy was on full display in the hallways. Most students wore their house color - Aqua Blue, Terra Green, or Ventus Yellow. But as I passed the Elite wing, I saw the Saints and the high-tier Light and Dark mages. They were the only ones permitted to wear pure white or midnight black uniforms, regardless of their house. It was a visual reminder that even in a world of magic, some were born more equal than others.

No… I loved it. I walked over to my wardrobe and opened the doors. The Nocturne Academy uniform hung there, pristine and untouched.
