There’s no rush. This is one of those nights when intensity isn’t measured in speed, but in how long we can hold the moment, how far we can stretch it before breaking the tension. Hands start seeking without instruction: a brush along the arm, a thumb circling a wrist, a long press against a back.
“We shouldn’t…” Demon says, but doesn’t finish, because John, with the smallest movement, lets his hand touch his. Not a grip, not a casual brush, but a held contact, as though both were testing how far they’re willing to go.
