Hollow Knight Vessel Novels & Stories

Being jealous of a being who can have total power over me…I wouldn’t be that stupid. “Not as much as you. I didn’t follow her like a puppy dog around the castle. You did. I can handle it. In the meantime, do everything in your power to stay away from her.” “I will. Trust me.” “Great, now say, fetch Max.” “Fetch Max,” I repeated. At this max zoomed out of my room and reappeared like no time had passed “Take this.” Max handed me a glittering purple vile. “What is it?” I asked.

I need to hurry. As I was barely on time, I was running towards the lift and suddenly I bumped into a hard wall. Wait... wall doesn't wear suits, do they? I just look upward, from seeing the suit and the material I felt, I can tell it must have worth a fortune and the logo on the pocket confirmed it for me. I slowly looked up and saw the greyest eyes I have ever seen in my life... They are staring at me with rage...'what have I done?' and who is this man with so beautiful grey eyes? I was staring and he was getting angrier. I should apologize before he turns into a grey hulk. So I quickly said what I can.

Hearing it spoken in the open air above the Atlantic gave it a different quality. Permanent was the word she kept arriving at. Not ending. Permanent. The crown of the Vael bloodline was a physical object smaller than she'd expected, old metal worn smooth by time, carrying nothing theatrical. Seren placed it on Caspian's head with the precise care of someone who had done this for three hundred years and understood that the object was less significant than the moment. He became, in that moment, what he had been becoming for a very long time. She watched it happen.

"Your reports have been reviewed and we are pleased with your progress. As soon as the storm clears, we will send in reinforcements to assist with relocating those women and children who would like to leave the pack." "And what about the former Alpha and his men?" The laptop screen flickered as the vampire on the other side shifted in her seat. A sharp black eyebrow lifted upwards over unearthly green eyes that resembled a serpent with blood red lip set themselves into a hard line.

She hoped by the time she reached the stables, she’d be home free enough that no one would stop her and question why an infantry soldier had a horse. It wouldn’t be her own horse she’d take, though. She’d had her eye on a few of the steeds the cavalry officers rode and picked out a large black stallion called Warrior. Technically, he belonged to the crowd, though it was one of the higher-up officers who usually rode him, a commanding officer named Thorn. He wouldn’t be anywhere near the stables the time of night Nya was planning on executing her plan, so she wasn’t afraid of encountering him. She had been watching operations out there at night for a while now and knew it would only be a hand

brass telescope. High above the limestone bluffs, a "Sovereign" Command-Shuttle descended through the clouds. It was a "Gilded" relic of the "New Geneva" fleet, its hull shimmering with a "Neural-Node" cloak that was flickering—exhausted by the "Friction" of the long flight from the coast. The "Sovereign Nodes" were no longer gods; they were "Broken Assets" searching for a "Hard-Reset" that didn't exist.

--- **KELLY'S POV** We found the trench at low tide, a jagged scar in the ocean floor brimming with bioluminescent algae. The water here didn't move-it *quivered*, as if afraid. Rhydian's serpents thrashed beneath his skin, hissing as Eden waded in. "Don't." I grabbed his wrist. "This isn't water." The algae coalesced into a figure: tall, androgynous, its body a mosaic of scales and scars. *"Vessel,"* it intoned, voice like cracking ice. *"You carry the Three. The Unwoven carries *none*."*

They were looking at the far coast. A holographic map of the Northern Sea flared to life. Six black icons had just breached the territorial waters. They were massive, low-profile carriers, their hulls made of the same void-matter as the Watcher’s cloak. They didn't have engines. They moved with the rhythmic, mechanical heartbeat of the Second Prime. "Phoenix," Kael’s voice whispered in the back-end of my mind, the data-stream thin and terrified. "The quiet uncles aren't on the water. They are the water."

It didn't pant; it didn't leave tracks in the snow; and its scent was not of musk and bone, but of Silicon and Ozone. "What is that?" Hope whispered, clutching my leg. Her emerald-gold halo was erratic, sparking with a high-frequency white light that matched the stranger’s eyes. "It’s not a wolf, baby," I said, my sunset-gold fire flaring as I felt the Synthetic Marrow within the creature. "It’s a Vessel."

Dax commanded. The Vanguard accelerated, using the sloping, armored snout of the sinking Leviathan as a massive jump. Fifty heavy choppers launched into the open air over the churning, boiling crater lake. At the exact same microsecond, my father smashed his fist down on the EXECUTE key. The lower hull of the Ark hummed. A cylindrical, distorted tunnel of air violently shimmered to life, extending from the breached durasteel doors directly across the water, catching the airborne Vanguard in mid-flight.
