Sage's POV Today is my birthday. I am Sage Holton from the Grey Wolf Pack. I will turn twenty today. I am incredibly happy because I am entering a new phase of my life, a more mature phase. Today, my wolf will appear. Everyone in the pack had their wolf appear at an early age, like sixteen or fifteen, and those who were late had it at seventeen. But I have been delayed so much that everyone thought I would never transform.

As the days flew by, Bella's 19th birthday approached faster than she had anticipated. Her birthday fell on the 21st of May, and it felt like the past year had passed in a blur. It was a strange feeling to be on the cusp of adulthood, and she couldn't help but reflect on the whirlwind of experiences that had brought her to this point. Lily, her ever-supportive friend, was the one to remind her of the upcoming milestone. They sat in their shared apartment, sipping on cups of tea, when Lily suddenly perked up, her eyes widening with excitement.

"Happy birthday by the way," Heyli blushed. People rarely wished her a happy birthday and Heyli was the first person to wish her and she took it to heart. “And something BIG is happening next week!” I suppressed a smile. “No.” He grinned. “Yes.” “No!” I insisted, amazed that he remembered. “I don’t celebrate it.” Perrin looked at me with mocking incredulity. “Who doesn’t celebrate their birthday?” Ethan shot up in his chair. “Lo! It’s your birthday?” He smacked his forehead as if he had forgotten. “We have to celebrate! It’s the big one, isn’t it?” “The big one-eight,” Perrin corrected, grinning ear to ear.

I would hopefully find out who my mate was in a week. “When is your birthday?” Jay asked like he was just trying to make small talk, at least he didn’t seem irritated anymore. “It’s next week, on Wednesday the 24th. I’ll be 18. Hanna and I aren’t very far apart. Our mother had two uteruses so we were literally born only a month apart. Our dad was definitely shocked to say the least.” Jake laughed. “Well Alpha Gabe is going to be in shock to know that his birthday plans for Rena just got bigger. Adding another 18th to the list of celebrations he has to do on party day!” I was confused, why would my party be here?

He explained sharply and I winced internally. “It earned that name.” I reminded myself. I ran my hands through my hair and sighed. “I hate my birthdays.” I declared. “But, um, big twenty-five right?” Moore said and I locked eyes with him immediately. “We don’t have to celebrate the birth date, we can celebrate the age, the moment, the years…” Moore inched closer to me and I swallowed thickly, our noses brushed against each other.

I had to shift, I had to be strong and I had to defeat the vampire king along with my friends and pack members. The next morning, I opened my eyes and smiled. It's my birthday and I’m 19. Compared to last year, I am very happy to welcome another year of my existence. Unlike before, I considered it just another normal day. But today is different. I have people who will celebrate it with me and hope to have my best.

I doubt Lucky Rogers would ditch that for my birthday.

Cara awoke to the screeching sounds of her obnoxious morning alarm. Despite being sleepy and so rudely ripped from her rest, there was a smile plastered on her face before her eyes ever opened. It was Monday morning and she needed to get a move on. Like any other weekday morning in tenth grade, she had to get ready for school. But this morning was special. This was the last Monday morning before her birthday. The special day was fast approaching. This coming Friday she would be turning sixteen years old, but she was even more excited about her birthday party that would be held on Saturday. She was eager to celebrate this milestone in life with the people she loved.

I love him too and I don't want to lose him. “What's special about Saturday?” Dad turned to me, raising his brow. “Saturday? I don't know. Saturday is Saturday. Oh. No school.” I shrugged. “No.” Dad drops his hands on the table, laughing. “Come on. Have you forgotten your birthday? November twentieth. This Saturday. Today's Wednesday.” It hits me hard. I covered my widened mouth and Trevor clapped. “I totally forgot. Next Tomorrow is my birthday. I'm turning eighteen. I'm going to be an adult.” I announced.
