It looked like any normal school from the outside, but I knew better. This place trained people to have sex on camera… professionally, confidently, and without shame.

I exhaled shakily and nodded at her. "Now, you must be warned that you might be hit by harsh images, depending on your emotions but whatever you see will be crucial for the outcome of this ritual, and whether or not he will be granted passage or not." The High Priestess regarded me with respect. "Are you up to it?" I swallowed hard before swallowing hard. "Good now enter the circle and sit still. The Crystal of light is right in the circle. Accompanied by a slight crackling sound, dazzling white lights suddenly illuminated the area. Woody quickly turned off the flashlight, immediately reducing the light. In the open space, clusters of white crystals, shaped like nine-sided figures, were growing on the stone wall. The light just now was a reflection from them. This was the white crystal described by the serpent. Without the flashlight, the glow became softer. The entire space was illuminated by the light emitted from the white crystal itself. Woody frowned slightly, knowing that the True Essence of Heavenly Crystals were considered a top-tier treasure.

It was as though this place held the secrets of the universe, waiting patiently for those willing to listen. "Deirdre," Matteo's voice came out in a rasp, and I shivered as he gripped my waist, pulling me into him. "Should we be here?" I asked, unable to look away from the waterfall. "We should," Matteo affirmed. "Or maybe we shouldn't." I raised my brows, staring at him. Matteo shrugged, "This place is hidden. I stumbled on it by mistake. So, I did some research on it, and I learnt it possesses mystical powers."

I pass my chalice around the circle, “We drink now the primal waters, the abyssic darkness.” As I had done all of the times before, I sank to the ground and sat to calm myself and center my thoughts and energy. However, this time, my eyes were thrust open. A deep red orb with two snakes moving slowly around it, like electrons spinning around the nucleus of an atom. As the spinning becomes faster, the red orb begins to glow. The spinning snakes move up to encompass a ball of orange, and as the snakes twist and spin, it begins to glow forms terndrils around me. At first glance, it was still a red crystal. But if you looked closely, you would find that the red crystal was completely different from the Sea-calming Sacred Beast. The Sea-calming Sacred Beast was a crystal carefully carved into a small beast. Although the crystal in Caspian's hand was also red, it was only a triangular shape. To put it bluntly, the cut of the crystal was exceptionally smooth and tidy. Although it was not big, it could reflect the figure. As for the origin of this crystal, it was used by Happy Smith and the others when they used the Crape Myrtle Exquisite Bomb.

’ I put my nose back into place, and accepted the blanket, turning purple, as my body temperature was giving up, and Sister Ophelia walked me back to my room. I feel no pain. Not on the outside, at least. They call it CIP, or Congenital Insensitivity to Pain. I can break as many bones as I want, cut myself a thousand times, as deep as I want, but physical pain would never reach me. It was both a gift and a curse. If I got hurt badly, I wouldn’t feel it, and it could kill me. Clarissa hasn’t managed to do that yet, unfortunately.

Horatio raised a brow. Scarlet looked over at him, seeming to come back to the now. "The crystal, when planted, it can protect any village. If we die, it will bring us back to life. Or if it doesn't work, the crystals will kill all our enemies. I asked you all to come with me because you are leaders of your pack or coven and the strongest out of ever on else. You all have to tie your life force to the crystal so it can keep our allies safe."

Let’s do this. And if I’m going to do this, I better do it the right way. I can’t let this fantasy continue, it’s not healthy. I gulped down, slowed my breathing. And did the cross sign, feeling way more anxious than I should feel. “Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.” I said and my fingers subconsciously laced together, damped in anxiety, “It has been a month since my last confession.” I added, and waited for his reply.

Could this be… His thoughts were abruptly cut off when he heard his name. “Alpha.” The old priestess of the Silver Crest Pack, Lilith Raziel, stepped into the infirmary, holding a long staff in her left hand. Her long white hair fell past her waist, and though she stood at a modest height, her presence was commanding. Her pale eyes held an ancient depth, as though they carried stories that were never meantt to be told. Wrinkles lined her skin, yet they only added to her quiet, unsettling grace.
