Her Sister's Best Friend
Damn, I am so stupid and naive.
I feel an uncomfortable churning in my stomach as Sarah continues to ramble about how bad Aiden can be. I stand up from the couch, no longer able to sit still. If I stay any longer, I am going to lose my mind.
“I have to go to my room,” I say, my voice barely above a whisper.
“Okay,” She says. “ I might head out and won't be back until tomorrow morning.”
“Alright,” I reply, forcing a smile.
My sister has started spending less time at home, and more time out at night. I don't understand why she does that. But, everyone is different. She doesn't find comfort in staying at home like I do.
