When she finally returned, she was accompanied by a familiar figure. "Alright, everyone. Meet my game night partner, Summer." What the fuck? What the hell was Jeanette thinking, bringing Summer home? What if something went wrong tonight and their relationship was exposed to everyone? Auntie Laurel would not be happy. I desperately hoped that we could make it through family game night without any drama. Or perhaps, I was getting too ahead of myself?

“Why?” Dungeon Raydens was the most popular MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game in the country. It was so popular you could see it being played in almost every single computer shop (read: Internet café), usually by students cutting class and splashing out the school allowance they had scrimped away. This prompted at least one Provincial Hall and one Village Center to actually ban the game from being played in computer shops, especially those near schools. Apparently, two teenagers ended up getting stabbed to death after a melee inside Dungeon Raydens spilled out to the real world.

I ended the call and walked angrily to my hotel room banging the door so hard. The following day I decided to return home when I got some tips that Grandpa might be in town, opening the door, Gina rushed to hug me saying, “Welcome back home, how was your work trip?” “Fine.” I unlocked from the hug and headed straight to my room. A few moments later after settling down a bit, I entered my game room to play some video game with someone online who challenged me, I laughed because he didn’t know I was the master of the game world, I got ready to play the game and gave a strict order, no one is allowed to invade my privacy.

“It would be ugly.” Nancy laughed. “Don't worry, hon. Henry here can't dance either. You guys can be embarrassed together.” “Tell you what,” Carter said, with a wry smile. “I've got a better idea. There's an arcade game around the corner. I saw it when we came in. Big Buck Hunter. You heard of it?” Henry and Nancy nodded. “Of course we've heard of it,” Henry said. “That game is in just about every single bar where we come from. In fact, I even have a console in my basement. That's how much I love it.”

Caleb’s P.O.V As soon as I stepped into the house, the familiar hum of the game room reached my ears. The sounds of buttons clicking, the occasional frustrated sigh, and Shane’s loud, competitive voice filled the space. I leaned against the doorway of the game room, watching as Shane and Jade battled it out on the console, their fingers moving rapidly over the controllers. Shane was fully immersed, his eyes glued to the screen, his lips curved into a smirk as he leaned slightly forward, ready to annihilate Jade’s avatar. Jade, on the other hand, had that usual laid-back expression, his fingers working effortlessly as if he wasn’t even trying, and yet, somehow, he was still winning.

He shook his head and said, "No, I bought it for you. Like you, I didn't have time for playing games since I was studying hard to survive on my own. We both don't know how to play games. I think I should just return it back." "Wait, Since we both don't know how to play, why don't we give it a try?" I placed the console in his hand and asked, "Don't you want to give it a try?" "Are you sure?" I nodded and turned on the screen and asked, "What do you want to play first?" "What's there?" I called out the names of the game displayed, "Fortnite, God of War, Destiny 2, FIFA 21, Mortal Kombat, Grand Theft Auto,... Mr Martinez, it sounds like a movie name."

He loved games and everything else wasn’t necessary for him. After years of parting from the game world he made a nice come back in the industry and conquered the world of players again. The years didn’t stained his skills and he was still very good. True, the chair at the top was nice and comfy however, for him it wasn’t enough. The thrill had fade and everything fell apart. He wasn’t satisfied. Not until then he came across the game ‘Arc of SHION’ … In the vast forest of Lunu, prospers a thick bamboo forest. The spring had come and the leaves were lush green. Many birds sang in the wind as the bamboos gently shook in the air leaving a trail of falling leaves in the air.
