Jasmine murmured and I nodded. I sighed to see Evan and Chance standing on our porch. I was relieved that they came, after canceling last night. They sent many of their pack members but said that something came up and they weren't going to be able to make it until today. Mom, Jasmine and I hugged both of them as they entered the house. "We know we're early, we just had to check in and see how your doing." Evan explained. Mom shook her head. "You're always welcome here. I'm so glad to see you both." she smiled and they returned it.

She had evidently been playing a lot. She went on to tell me all about her day at the daycare on the way home. Luckily enough, we had found a seat on the bus. By the time we had reached home, she was fully awake and energised. Still carrying her on one arm, I unlocked and opened the front door with the other hand. The moment I stepped in, I called out. “We’re home.” “Welcome home.” A voice called in from within. I helped her with her shoes and then let her down in the entryway.
