Jace Proposes To Clary 소설 & 이야기

Lyra’s POV I heard the Council's decision before Cassian ever found me — servants murmuring in the corridors, a kitchen girl nearly dropping her tray at the sight of me, the whole palace humming with anticipation I hadn't felt directed at me since before my rejection. "They approved it," Mira said, catching my arm. "The claiming ceremony. Full Council, formal, no more hiding behind quiet arrangements." "I heard three versions on the walk here, each more dramatic than the last." I managed a small laugh, though my chest still felt too fragile to trust it. "I keep waiting for the part where it's a misunderstanding."

The girls who had already completed the rite stood in a circle, their eyes darting toward me, unsure whether to sneer or pity. The priestess lifted her hands. “Let the Alpha’s heir come forward and claim his mate.” Dorian turned to me, his eyes softening. “Are you ready?” I nodded. He raised his hand to my cheek, brushing hair from my face. “I, Dorian, son of Alpha Thorne, heir to the Silverclaw Pack, choose Kiera as my fated mate.” The priestess turned to me. “Do you accept?” “I do.” The wind picked up. The circle began to glow faintly.

I walk further in and stand at the side of the pieces that had darkness portrayed in them. Vera walks towards me but somehow she does not cross into the darkness with me.I bring out the ring box and open it. Vera lets out a loud gasp. “Are you proposing to me?” “I thought we should do it right this time.” Tears gather in her eyes but the smile on her lips and glow in her eyes make her somehow shine brighter. “If that was the point weren't you supposed to go down on one knee.” She jokes. I pulled her closer to me to let her know just what the consequences of her statement were. “Baby, if I go down in front of you it should be for one reason alone.” I press her against me so she understands ju

The room falls silent again. "Claire wanted more," Jace whispers. "She wanted me to stand up to Father. To choose her. To make our relationship public regardless of the consequences." His hands are shaking again. "We had an argument. At the hotel. She said she needed space to think. So she left. Just—walked out. And I let her go." Tears are streaming down his face now.

He didn't have time to face her disappointment as he stood up and went to his room and stood under a cold shower. "How about I take you out on a date tomorrow night." Kyrell could feel his mind being invaded. He dismissed it. Vesper knew that wasn't a question. Her heart leaped for joy and she couldn't help the smile that appeared on her face. "It's a date." "Where would you like..." Kyrell's words were cut short by a sharp pain in his head, like he was struck by a baseball bat. Vesper stared at him for a moment waiting patiently for his next words.

“Then Jace would finally be mine.” Tears streamed down Claire’s face, her voice trembling as she whispered, “Why are you doing this, Zara? Why?” Zara simply tutted, a dismissive sound, and shrugged. "Why? Hmmm...let's see..."she paused before smirking grimly. “Because he’s mine.”

Elsie looked back at her. "To a king," Clara said. "Despite everything you did." She paused on the first step. "I would think carefully about what that means for you and what you want your relationship with her to look like going forward. You still have a choice about that." She continued up the stairs. "She may still let you make it." Elsie stood alone in the corridor. She thought about Ava in the Lycan palace with her red dress and her black card and Sebastian Reynolds at her side telling an entire room full of people that she was his.

“Does that make any sense?” “It does. I have a feeling though.” “That?” “That you both will be together,” Jake says. “I had no idea a lycan is also a seer,” Malisha says sarcastically which makes Jake laughs. “What’s so funny?” Grayson asks with jealousy so obvious in his tone. Jake looks at his brother and smiles. “I am just having a conversation with my future sister-in-law.” Malisha glares at him. “I am not your future sister-in-law.”

"You don't have to do it if you don't want to." I nodded at him. I rubbed my clammy palms against my knees. "I want to do this," I replied. "I really...I realized that I really do love you guys. And you love me...I'm pretty sure...and this is what we all need." Lola smiled, patting my head. I melted into her touch as she said, "We do love you." Darius nodded. "We want you to know that we didn't want this because we don't have children of our own. We want this because we do genuinely love you, Jace."

accused Joe, lightening the tense atmosphere between them. "I'm not wandering, Joe, I'm not sleepy either. I say everything with full awareness. I love you, Joe. I want to be a woman worthy of being your life partner. I also want to be friends and a good companion for Kimmy. Will you wait until that time comes, Joe?" Clara insisted. "You haven't even graduated high school, Clara! Finish your schooling, and we'll discuss this later!" Joe explained. He walked past Clara casually, scratching his head even though it wasn't itchy.
