Since Richard's heart was not with me, I would leave. Plenty of men were interested in me, and I did not need him. That night, I drank too much and accidentally ate mango, which I was allergic to. Red rashes broke out all over my skin. I slept at Emily's place for a long time, and when I finally woke up, I realized my phone had died. I did not think much of it until I got home and saw Richard with bloodshot eyes. His hair was disheveled, and his clothes were wrinkled. He looked like he had not slept all night.

I draped her pancakes with honey and dropped it on the table right in front of her, serving it with a glass of milk, after which I went back to the kitchen and had mine with a cup of hot chocolate. No one was at the hospital when I got there, and luckily for me, I brought a book along, so I sat right beside the bed and started reading the book. The book was “ My Father's Wish” by Bellaboy, a touching story of how a young man, Hunter, was set up by his late father's will to marry his middle school bully, Hazel, just so that he; Hunter, could claim his inheritance.

“Visitor like you.” I tilted my head, intrigued. “Huh? What do you mean by that?” Honey placed a finger against her lips. “Very powerful,” she whispered. “And pretty. Like you. Light like you.” That gave me pause. Powerful? Pretty? Light? She might not have spoken in full, grown-up sentences, but sometimes Honey said things that felt too sharp to ignore. “I don’t know anyone like me,” I murmured. Honey just giggled and tugged at my hand. “Come! She’s here now!”

The city sky had grown dark to a mellow gray, the kind that swathed everything in gentleness—buildings, trees, people. Rain still lingered in the air, shrouding the windows of **Chapter & Soul** in a soft mist. Inside, the world progressed more slowly, more softly. It was perfumed with old books, chamomile tea, and something sweet that Lena had baked and not labeled.

Leave what you can.” Curious, she lifted a jar. It was warm from the sun. The honey inside shimmered — thick, golden, heavy. She unscrewed the lid and dipped a finger in.

muttered Sumico excitedly. Sumico went on taking a look at Hanny’s other romance novels one by one until she reached a book – not a novel, but it got the similar size with a novel. The title was tickling, somewhat queer, strange, and scary. Sumico turned the book back to read the synopsis for a while.
