I swallowed hard and forced my eyes to open back. “What else do you prefer?” I looked into his eyes. I could see their details far more clearly now that we were closer. The outskirts of his irises were a deep brown like the scorched edges of burning parchment, then there was a golden yellow that bled into a hot auburn.
