So I go to the window, from where you can see the garden and I sit on the windowsill so that the breeze clears my ideas and I realize one thing. This window is so big that I can easily get out from here, plus Kieran's room is on the first floor and it’s a less dangerous fall than if I tried to jump from the ceiling, as I thought earlier. He desperately needed to connect to the outside world. Jim pried the phone from the still warm fingers of the hand and tapped the screen to check for a signal. No bars were showing, but the screen was open on a text conversation. He swallowed hard. He was sure he recognised the number and it made him nauseous. The most recent message had been sent a few hours ago, while Jim had been out weeding. It read: TY Phil, once again u r a STAR!!! I’ll b there soon 2 pick up the spare keys. "You slept with me. You should have come to me, not disappeared." I closed my eyes. "Gray. Let go." "The baby." His voice caught for a second, like he was forcing himself to finish the sentence. "I don't care whose it is. You're keeping it." I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"{Did he just call me sassy?}" She cleared her throat anticipating his answer. "Aren't you just too much for someone who fled her own wedding?" He muttered coldly, a little frustration hinting at his voice. "You are supposed to be begging for someone to save you from this dangerous road. Besides weren't you running away? Aren't you scared they could catch up with you? You can get back down now, if you want." He snapped. "Are you saying, you’re just being a good Samaritan?" Bella scoffed.

My silly brother was still unaware that he had been made into a fool in these text messages. My phone suddenly rang. It was Shane. "Honey, did I accidentally leave my phone at home?" he asked while panting heavily. "Did you? I haven't noticed." It sounded like he exhaled in relief. "Why're you still awake? Be a good babe and go to sleep. Don't wait up for me." I was standing on the balcony as I continued to ask, "Where did you go for your jog?"

“Run to daddy, grandma, or grandpa. Don’t stop. Run and get away before you are hurt.” His voice waivers. “But…” “No, buts. Run.” I push him away from me. YOU WILL NEVER BE SAFE!!” I motion my head for Casper to run. He pauses for a moment before turning and running away.
