A vicious-looking hellhound who was at least 8-9 feet in height and 9 in length with a sharp set of teeth was huddled on its haunches near his feet. Its leathery skin was black with hints of red along its elongated jaw, paws and head. The beady eyes that were fixated on the newcomer were crimson with swirls of gold in them. Its long ears perked up as its owner traced his bony hand along his body.

They looked like they were plucked right from the devil's side. The patchy black fur, red eyes, and skinny legs like a greyhound. They each wore a black or pink collar lined with metal spikes. Alaric flew up from Luther's viselike grip on his side, blood running down his torso, and he flicked his wrist, guiding the hounds toward a growling Luther.

“You help me, I keep you out of prison. You’re not here to ask questions.” Emily stood her ground, crossing her arms. “I know you, Hound. I will not serve as an accessory to your murders or whatever you have planned.” Hound sighed, a bitter chuckle escaping his lips. Slowly, he began to strip off his shirt, revealing the intricate runes etched across his body in deep blue ink. The sight was both mesmerizing and harrowing. “I watched my mother die, overworked as a slave,” he began, his voice trembling. “I should have pushed her off the building… It would’ve been the greatest mercy I could’ve offered her.”
