How Did The Smile Curse Start Novels & Stories

Niniane said with a nod. "How was Ravana cursed?" Layla asked curiously. "By the first chosen. With his last breath, he gave Ravana exactly what he wanted. An immortal life, but with a few ultimatums. He would never see the sunlight again and he must drink the blood of others to sustain his immortality. So, the first vampire was born. But instead of being given the blessing of creating healers, all he would be able to bring to this earth was more death." Layla was silent as she took in Ninian's words.

"I curse this forbidden child to suffer in such agony that the clouds crumble at her state. I curse her to never find her true mate until she kills the murderer of her fate." The curse was embedded on her back in the shape of a skull that had flowers growing out of its mouth and eyes. Very appealing to the eyes but deadly for her soul. Her grandma took her own life to make the curse effective and long-lasting. Instantly Silvia lost her scent. She didn't know because she was a kid but as she grew up people told her that her scent was very mild and almost nonexistent. She didn't mind it. Her scent wasn't important because she was a witch.

What I had been concerned about was how the curse would end, forgetting that one needed to know what disease he was suffering from before getting medication. Surprisingly, the councilmen only chuckled in response and Kendrick and I looked at ourselves in confusion. What exactly was funny about the question? "The curse initially had nothing to do with you", one of the men spoke up after they laughed for a while. "Initially?", Kendrick picked out and I almost patted his shoulder, pleased at his impressiveness. "Over a hundred years ago, a curse was laid on your pack" Even Kendrick's father hadn't been alive as at then, how come we had to suffer for a crime we knew nothing about? That was unfai

"I messed up. But I'm here now, and I'll do whatever it takes to make things right." Decker glared at him for a moment longer, then let out a long, ragged breath. The anger slowly drained from his face, replaced by exhaustion and the weight of responsibility. He knew that blaming Ethan wouldn't solve anything. They needed to work together to find a way to break the curse and heal their pack. "Fine," Decker said, finally relenting. "But we need to find Lydia, and we need to figure out how to lift this curse. We've got a long road ahead of us, and we can't afford any more mistakes."

Satisfaction sits well in Orav's heart, but still the fire was not extinguished. "This curse will last a lifetime. No greater power shall ever break it." The curse was completely bestowed. It is done. She released the moon's power. All of the joyous taste of it vanished, but she has never felt fulfilled. But the contentment was short-lived when she saw her Ara Mai, lifeless as her blood pooled on her body. There was a bite on her neck, a clean kill. Not far from her was the child, still covered with sheets. Knowing it would break her heart into pieces, she walk towards the child, every step weighs her down. The horror registered on her face as she took her moment to look at the babe. He had

Fresh tears blurred the words. “Do not tell him the truth.” “He will never believe you.” “The curse began three hundred years ago.” “Every man who truly loves a woman born with our blood…” ”…will slowly surrender his life.” ⸻ A tear landed on the page. The ink blurred slightly. ⸻ “The first kiss marks him.” “The second weakens him.” “The third binds his soul.” “After the seventh…” The sentence ended abruptly. The rest of the page had been burned away. ⸻

Even if I meet my second chance mate today I won't get to recognize her because of my damn curse, it annoyed me to the cure and I wish I could get it rid of right now. “What did you think I can do now? I badly want to get rid of the curse, as the leader of the Blue Moon pack I have to protect my people, what will become of my people if they have a Waek Alpha like me the elders must not find out about how my curse is wailing me down, they will start plotting on how to use my vulnerable against me” I explain my memory flashing back to how the retreat my father from the position. I got to know the curse I was battling with was hereditary and the sickness killed my dad at a young age.

“It belongs to the origin of the curse. And that curse… started in Stormclaw.” Lucy’s lungs squeezed tight. Her heart clawed against her ribs. She managed one word. “How?” Geoffrey looked at her the way someone looks at a grave they dug themselves. “My mother used to say history is a circle. Everything circles back to where it began.” He swallowed. “Stormclaw was once the most powerful pack. Until greed corrupted us. The curse Karl carries… our ancestors made it.” Lucy staggered back a step. “No,” she whispered. “You’re lying.”

However, Suri was puzzled and asked, "Is the curse the kind where they tie my hair to a doll and say curse words while poking it with needles?" Esther nodded and said, "Yes! But the doll cursing is the most basic form. A skilled practitioner only needs to know your true birth data to curse you." As Esther spoke, she suddenly looked at Rustin and revealed a shocking truth that stunned everyone. "Actually, the accident Mr. Hart had years ago was due to a curse." Rustin and Tori were both stunned and then Tori exclaimed angrily, "So that's it! Years ago, Saffronesian merchants wanted to build a chemical plant in Rivervale. Considering the pollution issues, Dad refused them.

Chelsea noted. "It's because of the curse," Bryan replied. "What is this curse called?" Chelsea asked. Bryan explained it was the Midnight Curse, which kills the afflicted and their relatives within an hour if not treated. And if the curse is intense, even stabilization won't help. I sat on the ground, pained, feeling my heart slow and my senses dull. I couldn't make sense of what was happening around me. Chelsea's worried voice reached me; she was giving instructions to Belle and Bryan. I fought the pain, trying to draw the curse into myself so it wouldn't harm Flora or pass to Ivan. I couldn't let that happen.
