Novel & Cerita How Did The Smile Curse Start

A few days later, I found myself back in Minster Lovell, the village of my childhood and the place where the curse had first rooted itself. Centuries ago, this place had been thick with werewolves. Before them, we had been simply families. We lived quietly among humans, worked the same fields, shared bread and laughter, and believed—foolishly—that peace could last. My parents believed it most of all. Then it all ended the night I became something else. I was the spark, the catalyst. The reason werewolves came to inhabit this place. The reason most of the humans died that night. My parents included.

fuck fate and its stupid eyebrows. The contract was activating. The seal was awakening. And Theo, who had spent centuries hating humans for reasons even he no longer remembered, was being forced to kneel before one. Slowly, Theo felt the final condition. The binding would only be complete through a kiss—an ancient rite, older than language. Refusing it meant death. His spirit would burn, along with the last remnant of Nexus’s power inside him. Theo stared at her, face twisted in loathing.

Evan couldn't see Carmen's reaction, but as I was standing behind him, I could. When she heard Evan say that the perpetrators were suspected to be from an organ trafficking ring, she raised a brow and had a strange smirk on her face. Out of the blue, I recalled something I'd forgotten. While I'd been tied to the bed and assaulted, someone masked from the nose up flashed that very same smile at me as I screamed and struggled. Before leaving, she'd adjusted the camera to make sure it faced me before saying to the men, "Lyra here likes it rough. You don't need to hold yourselves back with her."

Jordan said. "And what is that," Minx asked from where she sat on his bed. "Many years ago our ancestors broke her trust by denying her after she had his child, she bore the first of the wolf-blood witches and she was the one that made the werewolf curse" he paused for a while and the room fell silent.

She suddenly sneered making him tighten his grip over her jaw not liking the way she was disrespecting him. "I curse you." A mewled whisper erupted from her throat. The man who had her jaw held in a terrific grip suddenly gave her a twisted smile having no effect from her words. He found them absurd and full of stupidity. "I CURSE YOU! YOU AND YOUR FATHER WILL LOSE ALL YOUR HAPPINESS AND PEACE! IT'S A CURSE OF A DAUGHTER, YOU IMBECILE!" She cried loudly right on his face which did snatch his smile but something in him refused to accept the power behind her curse.

"I need to know the truth, Cassian. Please." Cassian let out a long, ragged sigh and closed his eyes for a few moments, as if gathering the courage to speak. "Alright. Sit down, I’ll tell you everything." They sat back down on the edge of the mattress. Cassian buried his face in his hands, taking a deep, heavy breath. "My family’s curse began three generations ago, when my great-grandfather broke the heart of a scorned sorceress. Out of vengeance, she planted a curse in our bloodline—every full moon, we lose control and turn into beasts. Condemned to be entirely alone, because no one could ever endure us in that form."

"Just didn't sleep well." "Understandable," Lucian said, his deep voice sending an unwelcome shiver down her spine. "After the attack." Laura nodded, not trusting herself to speak. She moved to the table, careful to keep some distance between herself and both Lucian and Dante. She could feel Nikolai's amused gaze following her, and she pointedly ignored him. The bastard. "Now that we're all here," Lucian continued, "let's go over what we know." Zephyr stepped forward, placing a leather-bound journal on the table. "I spent the night reviewing my family records. The curse began seven generations ago, when my ancestor Malachai Duskbane made a dark bargain with an entity he found in the Black Mo

Sire tells her. I sigh. The lead was an old witch Sire thought he remembered. Turns out the witches great grandchild had decided not to procreate so their family line died out a long time ago. "There will be a way to end this. We will find out soon," I say, painting a faux smile on my face. My spirits haven't been very high recently. The curse has slowed down from it's initial devastation, but it is still very prevalent. It's only a matter of time before Hazel or I get sick.

"What does that mean?" The question burst out before anyone else could speak. I was on my feet again, my chair scraping loudly against the wooden floor. The rogue house suddenly felt suffocating. Too small. Too crowded. Too hot. Every instinct inside me screamed to leave, to take Cassius, take my children, and put as much distance between us and this conversation as possible. Yet I remained exactly where I was. Because Kane was involved. Because my family was involved. Because for the first time in months, someone was finally giving us answers. "What does that mean?" I repeated, my voice trembling with frustration rather than fear. "How is Kane connected to this curse?" Damien exchanged a gl

“Two packs existed to be the most powerful pack of our kind, the alvuelas and the crescent pack.” “Our pack was the crescent. The Alvuelas were concerned about power, they wanted to rule the entire werewolves pack with the tip of their fingers. It wasn’t in favour of the other packs as they have predicted how toxic the leadership will be, they prefer to be ruled by their own alpha since there is an alpha in every pack. The Alvuelas used violence and threatened the other subordinate packs with the death of their whole pack. They didn’t have much choice than to follow his influence and voted the Alvuelas in power. But there were two heroes from the crescent pack that stood against the whole pr
