Trees twisting from wood to stone, leaves flickering between green and silver shadow. The air rippled as the two realities overlapped, each clawing for dominance. And I was the center of it. Natalie and Shane bickered the entire elevator ride up. The moment they stepped out, he hooked her hand over his arm. Natalie looked down at it. "Do we really have to do this?"
