Alfie nodded, sniffing back tears and closed his eyes tight shut as Sam squeezed his fist and pulled back his shoulder.
"Remember... don't punch his face, punch through his face," Jayce advised.
Breathing in to fill his lungs to maximum, he swung at the boy with every ounce of anger and pain bottled up inside. It was over in a second. A white flash of pain shot up from his knuckles, but it was short-lived, forgotten as the cheers rose and he looked down to see his first-ever punch had knocked Alfie to the dirty tiles.
"That was flippin' amazing," Jayce said, pulling him in for a manly chest to chest hug. "With a right cross like that, you can be part of my gang."
