Torn Between Her Alphas

Torn Between Her Alphas

AMELIA “I can’t believe it didn’t work,” I grunted in anger as I stabbed the sword into the book, and it did nothing. “It’s empty now, but a piece of useless old shit.” The book was around four inches thick. The hardcover seemed to be made of animal skin. The smell was like an old rotten dead rat. I was expecting suggestions, but everyone’s mouth was shut this time. “Really?” My eyes narrowed at them. “Now I need your unsolicited advice and you’ve got nothing. You, Theia. You’re very opinionated. What do you have in mind?”

Elf To Tame A Werewolf

Elf To Tame A Werewolf

He does back, almost reverently, while I get down to my knees, and dig it out of the ash and leftover wood. And there it is, in all its glory. It is large; significantly large for a book, about two hands wide and two hand spans long. As Quain lifts it out of the debris, the air seems to thrum around it. 'Did you see that?' I gasp. 'What?' he asks. They both look genuinely confused, so I know they cannot see it. Why, though?

RISEN: THE LYCAN PRINCESS

RISEN: THE LYCAN PRINCESS

I said, and he took it all in. We stopped at the most ancient area of the library. “Alright, magical scrolls and legendary objects.” I sighed. This was trying to find a needle in a haystack. “Let´s see...” I said, pulling books about general objects and opening the index, searching for only one word, ´compass´. I retrieved about five books and placed them in Zane´s arms. The books were heavy, old, and musty, yet Zane carried them as if they weighed nothing. I have never asked him, but now I wonder how strong he is.

My Stepfather's Son Is My Fated Enemy

My Stepfather's Son Is My Fated Enemy

It was small. She registered that first — the specific dimensions of it, smaller than a standard notebook, the kind that fit in a jacket pocket, dark green cover with a worn quality that was not aesthetic but actual, the wear of something that had been handled regularly over a period of time. She registered the weight of it, which was the dense weight of pages that had been written on rather than the airy weight of pages that hadn't. She registered the particular quality of its closure, the elastic band around it in the way of certain notebooks, the elastic gone slightly loose with age. She held it.

The Price Of Fate

The Price Of Fate

Enough to call it the beginning of understanding. I stood then, shifting the heavy book more securely into my arms. Astrid stepped around the chair, ready to follow without crowding me. We left the reading alcove together and moved toward the front of the library. The book’s weight stayed present with every step. It was impossible to forget it. The leather pressed rough against my forearm. The pages inside had the dense drag of old paper, the kind that had survived years because someone had made sure it did. My mother had expected this moment. The thought returned again and again, unsettling and comforting me in equal measure.

REBIRTH: She Is Back To Reclaim What's Hers

REBIRTH: She Is Back To Reclaim What's Hers

I watched him, my eyes narrowing slightly as he pulled the books out but after he turned around, I saw the books he held clearly. “Ael…” I started. Ael did not even try to be gentle about it. He walked over with that same infuriating grin on his face and dropped the stack of books right beside me, the weight of them hitting the floor with a dull, heavy thud that seemed far too loud for a place as quiet as this library. A few of the books shifted and slid against each other, but most of them stayed in place, forming what could only be described as a small mountain of knowledge that I was apparently expected to climb.

The Billionaire's Hidden Vows

The Billionaire's Hidden Vows

Her breath left faint ghosts on the surface of the polished glass table before her. The ledger lay there. It wasn’t a device, not a file, not anything belonging to this era of screens and encrypted servers. It was a book. Bound in something too smooth to be leather, too pale to be paper. The cover had a subtle sheen, the way skin does under candlelight, and when she lifted it, its weight felt unnatural—dense in a way that suggested it was holding more than pages. It was the kind of weight you only feel when you’re holding a body.

Alpha King Triplets' Second Chance

Alpha King Triplets' Second Chance

With deft movements, my hands grabbed all the books that could most likely answer the questions that felt odd in my heart. Unexpectedly, the books I took amounted to dozens that were close to a hundred, plus the books had the thickness of a ten-language dictionary. Very thick books with some of them having slightly worn pages, the writing was a little blurry because of time. Someone who wanted to read it had to be careful if they didn't want to make a mistake.

Did she count all the books? "You counted them all? Cool." "Estimated," she corrected. Oh, that's right. "Not bad at estimating, Ms. Aspen," said Manuever who had just arrived while carrying the books. "Why?" I will ask. "Because it's actually right. Except for the books that aren't here and the ones I'm carrying, but then? The remaining books inside this library are 416,278. You must be really good in Math, Ms. Aspen," he replied. That's great estimating ah? I am, I thought more than a million.

The Way of the Dragon

The Way of the Dragon

"Golden Combat Sword?" Touching the brand new long sword in his hand, Zephyr Khan smiled bitterly. When he came into contact with this brand new weapon, his arms obviously trembled a few times. This was not excitement, but the weight of this Golden Combat Sword was many times heavier than before. Now, the weight of the golden combat sword had probably reached 500 to 600 kilograms! "A long sword weighing 500 to 600 kilograms. If it was an ordinary person, he would have been exhausted to death!"
