Starting Over at 40
Right after I finished moving, Tanner called and invited me to work at his company as an assistant.
I accepted his offer, as I needed to learn and adapt to a new environment.
I started the job one week later.
Tanner's company had around 300 employees. I was responsible for assisting with contracts. During the training phase, I had a meager salary of 4,000 dollars. While it wasn't even enough for me to buy a pair of my shoes, it was money I earned myself.
Five months later, Tanner asked me if I wanted to resume being a lawyer.
