GN wants chapters under 1k words to make them easier to purchase. Especially with bonus coins. My chapters tend to be 3-4k words so I HAVE to break them up. The first few chapters that are free I kept at their regular length because they are free, but the chapters starting from where it goes to PTR I was told to make shorter. I like making my chapters at least 3k words because I pack a lot into one chapter and I am unable to do that with a word limit of 1500-2k (to keep my chapters affordable I need to keep them between that word count). This story is dragging on because I'm trying to figure out how to keep it at a good pace while also keeping the chapters short and sweet. I'm afraid I'll either make the story too fast or as I am making it now, too slow. I am unable to find a healthy balance and this story is starting to become more of a burden than a joy like it originally is supposed to be.
