How Many Words Should A Chapter Have Novels & Stories

Hi, guys! I just want to leave this note before I locked any chapters. You might start wondering why some chapters will have like part I, part II and so on. It's just that my word count every chapter cannot be shorter than 2000 word count so I have to divide it in order for you to be able to pay it in lesser coins. Anyway, thank you for reaching this part. If you haven't commented or given me reviews and you are reading my book, I hope you do so because your comments fuels me.

The estate piece had been somewhere between, its length determined by the need to introduce Thomas and the grandfather and the obligation of the middle position without letting any of these elements overbalance the others. The last chapter was shorter than all of them. It ran to just under three thousand words. But the word count was not the measure of what the chapter demanded. What it demanded was something that the essays had not required, or had required in smaller measure: the sustained inhabiting of the personal position without the protection of the argumentative structure that distance provides.

So baring with me and sticking it out, means more to me than you could possibly imagine. Second, I want to say this is not the end. This is an intermission. A break or hiatus if you want to call it. With updates being so scarce, I’m sure you’re thinking that I should have done this earlier. And maybe I should have. I wanted to push and get to a point though where I felt okay and not like I was going to regret stepping away for a moment. So far, this story has 125 chapters. That is my second longest (behind Shift) and we currently have 252,800 words. That is nuts! That’s more than Twilight and New Moon combined! Hahaha!

Author's note. Happy 60 Chapter Guys!!!! I feel so happy and elated. You know, when I started writing, I was planning to write only 15 chapters since I just wanted to write about my Friend who died so I could feel a little comforted that she's in a better place. But well as I wrote I continued to get inspiration so now I have decided that I am going to write 150 chapters. Volume 1: Chapter 1-50. Volume 2: Chapter 50-100.
