Falling Again

Falling Again

"I do a lot of reading myself and I'm something of a writer. Show, don't tell, my critics always warned. Well, I'm following their warning this time. So, yeah, I'll rather show you." "Hmm." Vanessa smiled from ear to ear. Jake was ticking all the right boxes in her head, and he probably didn't even realize it. But Vanessa did, and it pleased her very much. It also scared her, and yet she couldn't stop. "And how do you intend to show me?" "Well, it's easy really. You have to spend physical time with me." Vanessa laughed, throwing her head backwards as her guffaws consumed her. "I see exactly what you're doing. You live out of town, so I don't see how that can actually work."

My New Neighbour

My New Neighbour

I'm not gonna follow your orders. I pushed him away which took him by surprise. He almost fell down when he stumbled backwards but he managed to keep his balance. Dang it. He should have fallen down and bruised some parts of his body. Maybe then, he would have learned from his mistakes. Sometimes, when a person thinks highly of himself and starts flying up in the sky, he should be yanked down back on earth and has a taste of what the earth feels like again. Only then would he realize that he has been flying a little bit too higher for his own good.

Vette
Will there be a second book? I noticed the author doesn’t comment on anything so I’m gonna guess and say no that the readers don’t seem to matter with zero interaction from the author.. good book though.

I so enjoyed reading this and am so excited to start the second one. This novel was very well written and kept me interested. I like happy endings and the threat of revenge still is something to be aware of. The writer of this story is very talented

I CAN'T SAY I DO WITHOUT YOU

I CAN'T SAY I DO WITHOUT YOU

He tries to put on a smiling face. I walked carefully out of the room so that the books I was holding wouldn't fall. Because of the books that were blocking my eyes, I could barely see where I was walking. Why did I believe what Mr. Sullivan. Not much? I stopped for a moment, stretched my neck out, and peeked down to see the stairs. As I stood in front of the stairs, a sigh came out of me. With every step-down, I couldn't help but shiver. Just one wrong step: all the books I hold will fall as well as me. I heard someone climb the stairs, and I stepped aside. Once I heard it was gone, I went on.

Legally His

Blake calls me, putting down his glass next to his bed. It's crazy how in the movies or music videos, the lady will confidently walk towards the man calling them with fears of falling not rushing into their brains, while in real life here I am walking like a drunk person. My path isn't straight, my hands are gripping tight on my shirt and one thing is screaming in my head; Do not fall! Do not fall! Do not fall! Finally, I reach his bed without any embarrassment. I lie down next to him, trying so hard to be extra comfortable.

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

I had to lean to the side to reach it, my tongue poking out in concentration. Suddenly, my foot slipped. My stomach lurched as I lost my balance, hand scrambling for purchase on the ladder. I managed to catch myself on one of the rungs before I fell, but the green book slipped from my grasp, and I didn’t have a chance to catch it. It tumbled through the air, pages fluttering. And it was headed straight toward Nora’s head. I opened my mouth to shout at her to move, but before any sound could escape, a figure appeared, darting across the room like a dark shadow.

Falling for the Bad Boy Athlete

Falling for the Bad Boy Athlete

We were holding a secret that was quickly becoming the only thing that felt real. I stood there, the silence of the library suddenly feeling like a sanctuary I wasn't ready to leave. My phone buzzed in my pocket—a notification about a campus rumor regarding our latest encounter—but I didn't even look at it. The stakes were rising, the campus gossip was thickening, and for the first time in my life, I wasn't afraid of the fall. I was just waiting to see where we’d land.

The President's Mate

The President's Mate

he said softly, reaching out to pull the covers over us. But before I could speak, a loud SLAM echoed through the room. We both turned toward the sound. The heavy, leather-bound Book of Forgotten Truths had fallen from the counter where I’d left it, lying face down on the floor. I stood up, the midnight breeze from the open window hitting my naked skin. I walked toward the book, my heart racing. As I bent down to pick it up, I realised it had fallen open to a specific page.

Falling between us

Falling between us

Absolutely — here is Chapter Eight of Falling Between Us. This chapter follows the emotional reveal in Chapter Seven and focuses on how Adrian and Elena begin to process the truth — not just about the child, but about what their love is made of. The tone is quietly intense, filled with tentative healing, physical nearness, and the slow unfolding of emotional safety. ⸻ Chapter Eight: When the Pieces Don’t Fit the Same The morning after Elena told him about the baby, everything was too quiet.

The Omega’s True Legacy

The Omega’s True Legacy

"Tomorrow will hurt worse. So fall now, while I can teach you how to take the impact without breaking your spine." I fell. The stone drove the air from my lungs, sent lightning through my ribs. I gasped, vision swimming. "Again," Maya said. "Tuck your chin. Spread the impact across your shoulders, not your spine." I fell again, again and again. My back was a map of bruises, my shoulders screaming, but I'd learned how to fall without destroying myself. "Good," Maya said. "Now learn to get back up fast." For the next two hours, she drilled me on rolling, on using momentum to spring to my feet, and on turning a fall into an opportunity to create distance. When we finally stopped for water, I co

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

He meant *forward,* but his attention was on the core. The pillar loomed in the middle of the fused chaos, untouched by the fracturing floor. Everything else was in flux. It was the only fixed point. Another tile ahead tried to drop out from under us, carnival planks yawning over a bottomless dark. “No,” I snapped, not at the plank, but at the *fall.* “Shorten,” I thought, hard. “Half‑meter drop. Not pit.” The edge of the board lurched downward—but instead of falling into infinity, it stopped after a foot, snapping into position just low enough that we had to jump, not plummet.
