MIA I look down at my sketch pad for a minute. I need to get this right. Something is wrong with it. I hold it in front of me to get a better view. hmmm. I look back at Noah then back at my pad. It's the eyes. The eyes don't capture the same emotion as his. I look back at Noah. His gaze is so concentrated on the fire that he doesn't even notice. His eyes are so focused and intense. I can see the bright blue ring that surrounds his eye and how it slowly fades into a darker blue towards the pupil. I erase the eyes and redraw them. I keep on flicking my view back and forth between my pad and Noah's eyes. I draw a defined circle. I keep drawing until I get it just right. I look back at it and se

Simple and complex at the same time. Back in my room, I sat at my desk. The black-covered notebook was already open, a pencil beside it. I looked at the blank page for a few seconds and, without thinking too much, began to draw. The lines appeared almost by themselves. First, a feminine gaze, with long eyelashes. Then, the outline of a smiling mouth. My fingers kept moving, adding subtle details — a scarf over her shoulders, a book in her hands. It wasn't Giulia. Not exactly. But somehow, it seemed to have something of her in it.

Started drawing without deciding to. The page filled. She didn't look at what she was making until the pencil stopped. A woman at a window. Below her, in three suggested lines, a small figure. She looked at it for a moment. Turned to a fresh page. Drew again — faster, not thinking. When she looked at the second page her hand had made a face. Dark hair suggested in two strokes. A jaw. Eyes that gave nothing back even in pencil. Four lines total. It looked exactly like him.

Taking a deep breath, she got out of bed. "Whatever," she shrugged and came to her canvas in the other room, where she decided to continue her sketch. She was so happy it was almost hard for her to go back to sleep. She had been working on it for days and was finally giving the final touches to the eyes, which were green with black pupils, making a perfect match with the curly brown hair. The details and fine lines on the face were very important. They made it look like a real person-a masterpiece. "This is it," she muttered under her breath and smiled at her hard work.

Hearing the small whispers of the other students. Then turns his head towards the teacher who walks away with his hand behind his back making him bite the inside of his cheeks. Koishi who was now sharpening his pencil sketch just then their eyes met making Koishi wave at him holding the pencil. The tip of the fingers which had turned fully black blinking his eyes a few times as the boy went back looking at his canvas. While using the paper stumps shading over the bottom of the bowl to give it the shadow effect to his sketch.

Nicole. “Heidi…” my heart softened as I dropped to my knees beside her. “I’m gonna put them back, I promise. I just wanted mum to stay here for a while.” One of her drawings rested ont he table too, almost covered by mum’s scarf. I pulled it from under there. It wasn’t the best picture but I could tell it was two older women with a child in between them. One of the women’s hair was done with a yellow pencil while the other was black, the child had tiny dots around her head to imitate hair, but what they all had in common was the yellow circles hovering over their heads and the triangle wings.
